Don’t miss going there - Took late afternoon tour & our guide was so knowledgeable about the history of Venice & this amazing palace.

Be aware of the meeting location- but a nice tour. - The biggest problem with our tour was finding the meeting location. It was due to others reviews online that helped us to find it. It is at a little wooden stand that has a small sign that says “meeting point” which was under an awning right next to the post office. It is just a meeting point where you receive your tickets and are then lead to meet up with another guide. It was a little stressful trying to follow the guide from the meeting point to the entrance to the palace without losing them. However, once inside Dogs’s Palace the tour was very nice. There is so much history and art we would have enjoyed having more time to explore, but our schedule did not allow for a longer time frame. The skip the line was a nice addition.

Not their best day? - Meeting details from operator are insufficient: address given is an entire block king & they want you to go to a kiosk with a 3” high, easily overlooked sign on one side that says “meeting point” without even identifying tour operator. Tour started late, tour operator (manager? owner?) took us to meet guide halfway there, were then further delayed by some people not being handed tickets by operator. With 20 or so people, the audio cut out in narrow corridors when group had to go single file.

Rushed, lost and disappointed. - The audio was spotty. The poor tour guide looked harried and overworked. I felt rushed and could not keep up with the guide provided commentary.
We did two other tours which I won't mention here that we enjoyed immensely. This one by comparison was very disappointing.

Scams you into purchasing tours in random cities - The Doge Palace tour was great but I can not recommend Viator. While purchasing tickets to sites in Venice, Viator bundled in David and the Academia. We had three tours now planned. Upon walking to the tour of David in Venice we found that David was in Florence. I contacted Viator and they said ‘sorry too late to cancel’. There refund policy is clear, but buyer be aware of incorrect cities and sites. Really silly for a site that is designed for tourists to book local tours. They have still refused to refund the purchase. Next time I’ll just search and boom direct with local operators. A 6 euro ticket to the Basilica coast 55 euros with a skip the line. Not sure what I would have paid if I booked locally.

tour company neglecting to meet us - I never write a review but had to report the tour company neglecting to meet my family as well as two other families waiting for this tour. We all waited and tried to separately call the tour company to resolve this issue. When I finally managed to make contact the company said “I was past the tour time and nothing could be done”. Of course I was past the tour time- the tour guide never showed up! Did mention that all of us were waiting in the rain. Poor service for sure!!

Dissatisfaction with TripAdvisor and operator Park Viaggi - Absence of a guide at the place and time recommended by the company itself. We sent WhatsApp and contacted the operator Park Viaggi, who did not resolve anything (requested proof of instructions on the meeting place, which we sent immediately) and told us to contact TripAdvisor. The invoice has already been charged to our credit card. I request urgent reimbursement.
We are elderly, we missed the entire afternoon in Venice and the opportunity to visit!
Lack of professional commitment and erroneous instructions.

I was scammed on Viator - I was scammed through Viator and your team said they couldn't do anything about it!! I paid tickets to Dodge's palace in Venice, went to the meeting point but the guide never showed up.
It happened to me in London too. Don't use this service coz their help center won't do anything to solve your problem.

The worst - If i could do zero or negative stars, i would.
Went to place as described on location at exact time and guide nowhere to be found. Asked for refund and rejected. This happened at 2 tours same day from same operator. Very frustrating. Also, no answer when called operator or messaged operator.

No Shows - We went to the meeting place at the correct time but no one was there. Another guide from another company called the people who were supposed to have a tour with and they said it was a mistake. So no tour, no tickets, and awaiting our refund. Very disappointing but we got in later in the day for half the price.
