Unique and Enjoyable - We were met by the chef (Lorenzo) at the water taxi station and walked with him to his (nearby) home. Upon arrival we were greeted by another group of visitors that were in the process of making the evening meal (they had signed up for the chef's cooking class). The food was great and it made it especially memorable sharing the evening with Lorenzo and his other visitors.

Amazing Meal! - If you're looking for an authentic Italian meal, Lorenzo is your man! He met us at the specified location on the confirmation and walked us over to his home. Upon arrival, he had appetizers and wine ready to be served. We chatted the entire time and ate so much amazing food. He creates all sorts of variations to suit each of his guests. Come to find out, he makes something different every day and even teaches cooking classes. This is a MUST for any foodie lover! Thank you again Lorenzo!

Wonderful but weird! - We were aware that the host and her husband are not fluent in English, but they cannot speak a word of English..... It was only my husband and me and they had set the table for 4 people, He was on time at the meeting point and we follow him to their home: just as all the buildings in Venice old, but charming. A flight if stair leads to the apartment. Old world charm! The food was Venetian and very good! Small starters, followed by home made pasta. The main dish was two types of fish: Salmon and Dorado, served with vegetables. We washed it all down with Pinot Grigio. The last course was panetone and Lemoncello. The meal lasted for almost 3 hours and we used the few simple word we know in Italian to express our pleasure and gratitude. One of the best things we did in Venice! Wonderful but weird!

We arrived at the Palace and we were greeted by the owners. The table setting was very nice. Everything was so old and so beautiful. The host and hostess were very congenial. The food was delicious. All cooked in her very small kitchen.

Potential Disaster Turned Great! - The chef, Lorenzo, was wonderful and an interesting and fabulous human being. We also enjoyed our conversations with him and the other guest. We had a rocky start in finding our host and delayed the meal almost two hours. If we had had better directions including a physical address we could have fixed that. Also we might have avoided any problems if we had been asked where we were coming from. This was not Lorenzo’s fault and he could not have been more gracious and kind!

This was a good experience but had... -
This was a good experience but had difficulty in sorting out times and then they were late meeting us .Then when we got to the palace although we had said we spoke little Italian the hosts spoke no English so things were a little difficult. Also we were with another family of German people who had booked it for a birthday treat so we did rather feel we had intruded on their occasion. But for all that the hosts were very welcoming and laid on a wonderful traditional meal which was super and extremely tasty.

Covid Scam - I feel like I got scammed. We received a email stating that the host got Covid-19 and will not be able to host, but still charged us with no notice. I reached out to the company but no one answered.
