Additional Information

In order to produce quality wine, it’s crucial to thoroughly understand the terrain from which it emerges and the celestial influences that affect it. Envisaged as gardens, the chosen plots of the Valdobbiadene DOCG are nestled between the Piave river and the Soligo brook. These are situated approximately 100 km from Venice, amidst the hills between the towns of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, equivalent distance from the Dolomites. In this place, vineyards have been fruitful on the hills for more than 2000 years, and the passion for wine-craft runs deeply in the breed of the vintners and in the lifeblood of the grapevines.

Breath taking! - Piera, our driver, was amazing. She took the time to inform us of the history of the Prosecco country, explain some of the customs of the cities, show us vineyards, and take us to the Abby. She was more than happy to answer all of our questions. (She even helped get a jacket back to us we had left in her van)! The vineyard where the great granddaughter of the man who helped invent the current version of Prosecco was so impressive. We all learned so much from her. That Prosecco was delicious. Our group like it so much, we all bought extra bottles. This tour was great from the start to the end! We recommend it to everyone - even if you don't think you like Prosecco, because you will by the time you are finished with this tour!

The vineyards were breathtaking, the vintners were very knowledgeable & welcoming. Our driver was wonderful, showed us some out of the way areas of the area.

Amazing! So fun! - Amazing views! The first Prosecco winery was small and felt so personal. The rides there and back are smooth in a comfortable van and the guide will even make pit stops if you’re really interested in learning more about the wine or food in the area! Would 100% recommend this trip to a friend!

Prosecco: much more there than I ever knew - We took this tour on a rainy day. The tour started about a half an hour late due to our guide being caught in traffic. We were able to call the company and get updates until she arrived. But we quickly got going and she filled us in on the history of the region we were going to. We were in a nice large van, and it was comfortable. At the first winery, Adami, we took a tour and learned how prosecco is produced in several styles. Our guide there was a family member and knew the business inside and out. She was magnificent. We tasted seven wines there and bought several. I'm not quite sure yet how I'm going to get them all home lol We left late and had a lunch at a nice cafe in Valdobbiadene. The menu was tried and true and the food might have been a little tired as we were at the back end of their service time. But it was what we needed and it was okay. The second winery was Carneval and we had a short talk from their winery person and tasted a few wines and bought a small number. We got back a little bit late, mostly because we asked the winery people too many questions and we received wonderfuly enthusiastic answers. But what else is there to do on a rainy day? It was a good day and I think everyone on the tour enjoyed it. We thank our driver for putting up with us cheerfully and patiently for the most part. The only surprise in the tour was the cost of the wine tastings, which were required additional expenses. At both wineries the cost was about double what the tour company had told us. I was surprised we had to pay a tasting fee at all as I live in a wine region in California and they would never be charging special groups like that. These fees should be folded into the cost of the tour.

Last Minute Cancellation - I paid for the tour weeks ahead of time. The tour was cancelled two days prior. The reason specified was the fact there was no one else signed up. This is hard to believe considering how popular this tour is, but even if that is the case, the operator should proceed with the tour. It's the nature of doing business. Last minute cancellation really put me in a tough spot. There are no available tours on Trip Advisor for this tour.
