An unforgettable, magical experience - The tour with Adriana was amazing! The small size of the group allowed the tour to be intimate & Adriana's knowledge, warmth & passion of Venetian history ensured the experience was thoroughly enjoyable. The experience of visiting St Mark's basilica at night, away from the crowds, was truly magical and an experience that will never be forgotten, due to it's stunning beauty & history. The golden domes & the intricate biblical themed art work on the ceilings and around the church were breathtaking. To be able to observe & walk past, where the remains of Saint Mark rest, was most definitely a highlight of the tour.
During the tour, Adriana also suggested other places of interest to see & visit whilst in Venice. Following Adriana's recommendations, the day after, we ventured up the tower in St Mark's square. Just as Adriana had described, we were able to see the snow peaked Dolomites, a stunning overview of Venice, the lagoon & many islands. Thank you Adriana for an unforgettable experience!

The best way to see the Doge’s Palace and St Mark’s Basilica - Sabrina was a terrific guide, and both the Doge’s Palace and St Marks Basilica dramatically exceeded our expectations. It was a special treat to see both at night, as it felt like we had them more or less to ourselves, and we got to see areas (e.g., the crypt) that would have otherwise been off limits.

Amazing experience - This tour was spectacular. Walking through the darkened Basilica and experiencing the lights going on to reveal the grandeur of the mosaics was amazing. Our guide Marina was so generous with her knowledge of both the Basilica and St Marks Square. Her passion for Venice and St. Mark's made our experience so enjoyable and meaningful. I highly recommend this tour.

Basilica brilliance! - Our guide Romy was incredibly knowledgeable and being in a small group of 6 was perfect. We had earphones so that we could hear Romy perfectly when we were in the basilica and quiet was required, or when we were outside amongst the crowds. Not having to queue and having access to the crypt made the tour extra-special. If you love history and want to learn, this is definitely worth putting in your calendar!

St. Mark's Basilica at Night - Magical! - This tour was our joint favourite sightseeing activity during our five days in Venice. Our guide Matteo was superb. Between our group and a couple of others there were around 20 people in the whole of St Mark's Basilica. It was almost dark outside and inside, and the lighting was turned on area by area revealing the stunning interior. Magnificent! There were just seven of us when we visited the crypt which made for a very special visit. A fantastic tour!

Amazing small group experience - Another A+ experience with LivTours! Adrianna was so knowledgeable, enthusiastic and reverent all at the same time! The small group experience (we had 8 in our group - total of maybe 15 in the church overall) was well worth the price. The church itself is magnificent - and seeing the mosaics light up from total darkness very moving. Extra special for us because our tour was on the day that Venice celebrates Saint Mark. Highly recommend!

Absolutely beyond my expenctations - Sabrina's explanation of the significance of the details of St Mark's Basilica was so helpful in understanding the history, religious significance and cultural references. She was patient and attentive to her group. This is so much more than a building and this tour brought it all home. Her love of the Basilica was evident.

Wonderful Tour! - Our tour guide, Adriana, was AMAZING, and we had such a wonderful time with her. She is not only warm and welcoming, but her passion for the Basilica was contagious and made the tour incredibly special. She was very knowledgeable and extremely interesting, and made sure we saw everything we could during our visit. She answered all of our questions and knew amazing vantage points for us to get the best views and pictures. On a personal note, she was very kind and warm and funny, and she truly made the tour one of the highlights of our trip to Venice. Having been on her tour, I can’t imagine seeing the Basilica for the first time without a guide and I can’t imagine having a better guide than Adriana. She gave our visit meaning and it was a night and experience we will always treasure.
