Embark on the Scenic Venice Islands tour, a trip designed to let you experience the islands in their natural splendor.
You will embark on a delightful boat journey through a nature-dominated Lagoon, eventually reaching Murano, the renowned ‘glass island.’ This island is famous globally for its glass crafting tradition. Here, you will set foot in a Furnace, witnessing a glass blowing demonstration firsthand and gaining insights into the time-honored glass-blowing techniques.
The tour will then take you to Burano, the gem of the Venetian Lagoon, recognized universally for its lacemaking heritage and the vibrantly hued fishermen’s dwellings.
The final stop on the tour is the peaceful and rarely populated island of Torcello, which was the original hub of civilization in the estuary. Amongst these islands, you can locate the lagoon’s earliest churches and learn about the beginnings of Venice!
Your return journey to the islands will involve crossing the entire lagoon and taking in the captivating view of St. Mark’s Basin from the boat.
