Since 2015 the town of San Giorgio is in the list of the Most Beautiful Hamlets of Italy.

Its wine has been renowned since the era of the Romans. You’ll gain insights into the history of our wines and this vast region. Traverse the scenic Valpolicella wine route, where you’ll be treated to stunning views of hills and vineyards, and a detour to the village of San Giorgio di Valpolicella.
Further, during your wine tasting experience in a local winery, you’ll be acquainted with the full spectrum of Valpolicella wines DOC (Designation of Origin Controlled) and DOCG (Designation of Origin Controlled and Guaranteed) such as Valpolicella, Ripasso, and the esteemed Amarone and Recioto.
Take part in our half-day wine tour (lasting about 3.5 hours) designed for those seeking to spend a leisurely afternoon away from the city bustle, amidst tranquil countryside, savoring fine wine amongst fellow wine enthusiasts.

- the tour leader, in respect of all the guests, will wait for you in case of late maximum for 15 minutes.
- We want you to spend a lovely day with no distress so, please, in booking our tours, inform us if you have limited mobility (in some old cellars there are stairs); or if you have any intolerance or allergy about food/wine (some tours are including appetizers in the cellar or lunch in local Restaurant)
- We ask you to inform us if you have any appointment after the tour (if you booked a train ticket, an opera show in Arena or a reservation for a restaurant), so we can do our best to respect the schedule.
- In the cellar the temperature is constant 15 Celsius degrees (59 Fahrenheit), so we suggest to take with you a sweater or a jacket; if it will be possible we will try to show you the vineyards, so it’s recommended to wear sneakers or comfortable shoes.

Wonderful & Welcoming - We loved our tour and tasting, it was the perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon in Verona. We were lucky enough to go and visit the Franchini winery, a small family-run business. Both our driver and the host of our wine-tasting were fantastic, very welcoming and we learned so much about the Valpolicella region and the wine itself. We sampled five different wines, you're also able to buy and ship bottles if there are any you really enjoy, but there was no pressure at all to do this.
I'd really recommend this tour, rain or shine, it's a great way to spend half a day.

First class afternoon out. - Beautiful country side, visited lovely little church which had been prepared for a wedding, so even more quaint.
Wine tasting excellent, owner very informative without being in the least pretentious. Snacks very generous so happy bunnies we were.
Driver and vehicle excellent and scenery out of this world with Lake Garda way in the distance. First class.

Delightful - The whole experience was truly wonderful.
I treated my parents to the Valpolicella half day trip and they thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip.
It was well structured and insightful but I believe we got the jackpot with our tour guide, Bernadette..!!
She was welcoming and accommodating from the outset and could not do enough to ensure the whole group was involved and comfortable.
10/10 and will definitely re visit.

Fantastic wine tour - Fantastic wine tour with sightseeing and wine tasting.
The guide Jacob really delivered on his first trip alone as a guide. Well delivered.
Great tour. Very nice place and good wine tasting with good accessories that highlighted the different wines.
Italian sing-along in the minibus on the way home :-)
Strongly recommended. Lucky if you get Jacob as your guide.

The Angel’s Share - Excellent afternoon wine tour into the valpolicella region with our guide Anna who was brilliant. We loved the stop at San Georgio village and then onto the Franchini winery where we met Sonja and tasted the wines and toured the vineyard. The wines were excellent and we devoured the Amarone, the Ripasso and the Azzardo. We really learnt a lot from Anna and Sonya about the wine making methods and explanation of wines from the region which were detailed and helpful - they really know their wines! Overall a great experience and highly recommended

Eat first! - The driver was so nice and was very knowledgeable.. the wine tasting was nice, but snacks were very slim. Just small bite. And not much..they need to express that in the tour. Without eating anything and it being 3 hours. And for the price. Needed to have some bread or something better. Besides that, it was enjoyable.

A nice experience but overpriced - A lovely experience. All staff, tour guide and wine expert were very polite, friendly, extremely knowledgeable and made everyone feel welcome. A fantastic afternoon out and we were definitely richer for the experience. However, we were a little disappointed at how little wine you actually get. Around 6 small samples (probably a glass in total) considering we paid £77 per person, you don’t get much for your money.
The first part of the tour was an insight into the history of the vineyards in the area and a visit to the grounds of a historic church. A nice touch, but it’s clearly a way to ‘beef up’ the tour and kill some time. Everyone in our group was eager to head to the winery and sample the wines. This part of the tour could be replaced with more time in the actual winery.
All in all, a lovely 3.5 hour excursion, but over priced considering what you actually get.
