During free time on tour - Visit during free time on tour. It was my first time in. Very happy to see Brueghel's Tower of Babel and Vermeer. The air conditioning was less effective than I expected, and it was hot indoors.

Art in Vienna - Amazing art work with lots of Biblical depictions.😊 Though a short line of 3 people, I still had to wait in line to get a ticket when I showed my online booking ticket.

Everything is beautiful - The museum is worth a look both for its architectural beauty and the richness of the works. We only visited the first floor dedicated to paintings. The volume of the rooms, the dimmed light and the number of seats in all the main rooms make the experience very pleasant. Brueghel is in the spotlight. An immersive and interactive room is dedicated to him, and in a very beautiful way.

You can spend all day here - literally. - We literally got there when it opened and basically stayed until closing. Entering is a bit chaotic in the morning, as you’re elbowing all the tour groups also trying to get it, but if you have a ticket (we bought the KHM museum pass for €53), you can head in and go straight to the desk for an audio guide. Note there are parts of the museum that are very well air conditioned and other parts where it is incredibly hot. We ate lunch at the museum for convenience; not the most exciting options and we would call the food “fine”. There is SO MUCH art to see at this museum that you could not possibly listen to the entire audio guide in one day. We loved it!

So good - This place is gorgeous,. Please have lunch or a coffee in the cafe. It's beautiful. The food is great. The art is amazing. I truly loved this place. We spent 3 hours and that was perfect but more time or less time would be fine too. Lots to see!

The world's most beautiful cafe is truly beautiful - According to the guidebook, it was the most beautiful cafe in the world, and I felt like I had to go to a cafe rather than see a painting. We can also walk from the Grand Hotel where we are staying, but unfortunately it was raining so we took the tram. Just a few minutes. It's good to get to the Art History Museum, but it's too big to see the entrance. I went around and finally got there. You pay at the entrance, enter, and the inside is already like art! I was captivated by the staircase and the painting on the landing. Not knowing where to start, he opens the pamphlet. It was abandoned because there were too many exhibits to take a close look at only famous works. It's hard to take a picture because I feel guilty. The cafe was waiting in line for about 40 minutes. Some gave up and left, but we waited and entered. This is, after all, Apfelstrudel. I wanted to spend more time painting, but I was very happy to go to the most beautiful cafe in the world. If I can go back one day, I want to fully appreciate the work.

Great run down of Sisi and the Imperial Family - Wonderful and informative tour. Our tour guide Gaby was amazing her knowledge of the imperial family was very impressive and we thoroughly enjoyed our time exploring Hofburg Palace, Sisi’s Apartments and the lovely gardens. Highly recommend this tour.

A spectacular collection in a magnificent building - It remains one of the sad mysteries of our time how one of the best art museums in the world never rates anywhere near its actual worth in the popular lists of great museums. This museum not only has a spectacular collection of masterpieces, the paintings are also housed in a magnificent building, where some of the murals were painted by Gustav Klimt. My guess is that the lack of success (and of queues) stems from the lack of art education in the world. People who are not familiar with Tizian, Cellini, Arcimboldo, Caravaggio, Rubens, Dührer, Van Eyck, Raffael, Tintoretto, Rembrandt and many more probably thinks that the only reason to visit the museum is because it has the greatest Brueghel- collection in the world. If you go to Vienna, and is interested in art, this museum should be you highest priority. The habsburgs collected some of the best things for centuries. Now it is available for everyone.

VERY NICE COLLECTIONS! - A must-see in Vienna; this museum has some very fine Collections. However, I would recommend doing it several times if possible to enjoy it because the visit can be very long if you want to see everything!

Nice building, but no more than that - A very nice interior and some interesting sections such as Egyptian and Greek antiquity. Beyond that, however (at least for us) little interesting. But this will be different for everyone. To avoid: the coffee house on the first floor: yes, the decor is beautiful, but the service and quality of the food is substandard (which makes the high prices totally ridiculous).
