Very Different Museum Experience! - The MAK was not crowded on the day that we visited (April 25) so we probably could have skipped the "skip the line" tickets which we purchased but they guaranteed our visit and made our entrance effortless. The MAK was a very different museum after the many we visited and would not be at the top of our list. However, the building itself that housed the collection was gorgeous and the Klimpt works of art (which were on permanent display) were well worth the visit.

Recommended for all! - What a brilliant place. A museum for all ages, kids included! Super friendly and attentive staff. There was a huge sofa kids could climb on. A wonderful jugendstill exhibition and a brilliant design lab.

Very interesting museum - eccentric of course but very interesting and eclectic museum. Not to be missed in the neighborhood: the former Ministry of War and the Post Office building.

If you have time to visit only one museum in Vienna, I think this is the one - Exquisitely well curated museum of applied/decorative arts that offers profound insight into the soul of Vienna.

Mesmerized - Marvelous. The furniture sector is very interesting, especially for the Frankfurt kitchen. The exhibitions related to environmental protection are very stimulating. The new materials are extremely interesting. Bookshop with particular and very beautiful books.

Even the display method is sophisticated. There is a lot of furniture. - A beautiful museum. The building itself is beautiful, and the exhibits and the way they are displayed are so sophisticated that they are dizzying. The reception staff are also kind. There are all kinds of exhibits related to design, and they are all displayed in a stylish way that is so amazing that you can't help but exclaim in surprise. There is a wide selection of Secessionist works, especially furniture, and it is well worth seeing. There are not many visitors, so you can take your time looking around. The attached cafe and restaurant are also stylish, although they are a little pricey. There are also plenty of shops, but the prices are on the higher side. I was surprised at how many clothes (stylish second-hand clothes) were on sale.

Large disparate museum but which should seduce you despite everything - The place itself is very beautiful, the interior courtyard having retained all its charm, but the exhibitions, which are disparate and of varying quality/interest, will not please all audiences. Despite everything, the place is worth the detour and at least one of the exhibitions will definitely hold your interest and, if you come at 10 a.m. at the opening, you will be given a bracelet allowing you to come and go as you please (even outside) until closing at 6 p.m. Not to be missed: the adjoining restaurant "salonplafond" with its truly wow-worthy decor alone justifies the trip, it is accessible either from the outside through an "ordinary" door which will make you wonder if there is really anything there interesting to see here... or, via the back of the shop (if you are on the museum side)... Magnificent bar, sit down and enjoy the many cocktails available, attentive welcome, an alcohol-free "Sakura Bliss" for example should delight you...

Good display of Viennese 1900 art objects and furniture - Head straight for the collection of Viennese objects from 1900s. Those are the gems of their collection and include some Klimt wall decorations. The Asian ceramics were bland. The collection of framed posters from exhibitions in the early 1900s pre-1914 and 1920-30s was fascinating; some of them depicted political campaigns during the Weimar Republic just prior to the Nazi takeover. The museum is easily done in about 90 minutes at a leisurely pace.
