Great day trip - Robert was an awesome guide who was great about pointing out (and telling background about) landmarks and points of interest during the drive. When we got to Salzburg he gave a great walking tour and made sure we always knew where we were in the city so we could find our way back at the end of our free roam time. A walking tour of the high points plus a couple hours to see what we wanted to see was a great way to see the city. Very comfortable ride to and from.

Long tour but nice. - Our driver and guide, Wolfgang, was the star. He was pleasant and informative and even after 12 hours he never lost that. We wish there was more time in Salzburg and St Gilgen instead of more time at the lakes. The lakes were beautiful but 10 minutes is all you need. St Gilgen is a quintessential Austrian town full of charm. At least an hour would be good there and 3 hours in Salzburg. This is a very long tour with a lot of driving.

Small Company - Big Reputation! - This trip was exquisite from start to finish. Robert, the guide and (very competent and careful) driver, was waiting at the meeting point, early on Sunday morning, and was a reassuring and totally knowledgeable leader, providing the seven passengers with all relevant information at the right times and without burying us in too much detail. After 36c the previous day in Vienna, the air controlled interior of the vehicle was comfortable, and while there was some intermittent rain at our stops at Mondsee, St Gilgen and early on at Slazburg, 22c was much more agreeable. It was, of course, peak season, so the walking tour was slightly compromised with crowding. The 2.5 hours free time was adequate to accommodate finding lunch, taking lots of photos , and returning to the vehicle, but the long queues did not allow for a visit to and from the Fortress for which a whole day is really necessary. Robert's qualities came to the fore on the return journey as well, in finding an approriate rest stop when asked, and then taking an interesting diversion in order to avoid a large traffic jam ahead on the motorway. We arrived in Vienna right on time, Wonderful!

5/5 experience. Went as a... - 5/5 experience. Went as a solo traveller. Had just myself, the tour guide, and another lovely couple for the day. The travel from Vienna was around 2.5 hours. The tour guide was very informative. Had great weather. Can’t recommend this day enough. It was a full day (12 hours from start the drop off).

Good day trip to Salzburg - Excellent day trip to Salzburg. Our tour guide, Wolfgang, was amazing! Nice spacious Mercedes van with AC. Highly recommended.

It was a great tour - It was a great tour. Our guide Robert is very knowledgeable and helpful. We only had six people in our group, so all went smoothly and efficiently.

The best tour experience! - My husband and I absolutely enjoyed this day trip to Salzburg! It is well worth the price! Our guide Josef picked us up at the meeting spot and we left on time. Only 7 of us which was lovely. He explained so much history on the drive and took us through the lake areas near Salzburg which were absolutely gorgeous! We were able to get out for pictures and bathroom breaks at these stops. The breakfast stop at a rest stop/market cafe was delightful! So much variety. Once in Salzburg, Josef took us on a very informative tour of the old town and then we had about 2 hours of free time before meeting back at the van. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is staying in Vienna and doesn’t have much time to see the western side of the country.

Enjoyable afternoon in Salzburg - Our guide was very knowledgeable with facts and history during the ride. Salzburg was lovely and I loved stopping at the lakes along the way.
