Great Experience in Salzburg Trip - Well organized with a great guide and experiences in Salzburg! The Austrian scenery was fantastic. I will recommend Viator to other travelers.

Scenic Salzburg - A drive through the scenic country side, green fields, towns, lakes. Salzburg is a beautiful city. Memorable trip for us. Martin, our guide was very knowledgeable and informative.

Beautiful - The tour was well paced and beautiful. The guide was nice but did not have a lot of information. Overall good for the sights.

A memorable trip with a few suggestions - If not for the hot day - the trip would have been more memorable. Wish we had more time to explore the Hohensalzburg too. For the price, the tour could include the Mozart house too. The guide was very good though and it was structured well.

If you like the sound of music this is not the tour for you - Salzburg was beautiful but the tour felt very rushed it was in two languages and often the guide would forget which language she was speaking. She was also very offhand when asked about the locations used in the movie the sound of music, each location was pointed out as being “over there but too far to go to “.

Nice town but a very long bus trip and not worth the money - Nice town but a very long bus trip and not worth the money. We could have gone by train, takes just over 2 hours (5 hours to get to Salzburg on the bus). We could have spent more time and seen more of the places and for half the money. The bus stops in two road side services that charge you for using the toilet and have very expensive drinks and hardly anything worth eating. Not worth it for sure.

What to expect - It was cold. However the mountains were beautiful. This trip is not good if you want to see the sound of music. The bus stops are so expensive please bring your own food. Salzburg best in the summer I think

Long Ride little information - We spent way too long getting to Salzburg with the driver mandatory stops. If I would have known I would have rented a car. We ended up not having enough time to look around ourselves. The guide didn’t use audio equipment and he was quite soft spoken. Unless you were beside him you couldn’t hear him.

Terrible experience with this team - It was an extremely hurried experience. The guide in Salzburg was knowledgeable but he didn't care at all for the tourists. There were senior citizens and kids in the group who got left behind in different points, the the guide didn't even tell us where he was (so that we could catch up with him) despite requesting several time over phone. So basically we only got about one third of the tour. This was my first guided tour experience that was really messed up! Even the bus journey was terrible although scenic. Stops were only made at a particular chain restaurant/shop where everything was priced at least 4x while there were multiple reasonable priced options available.
