Great taste of the Upper Belvedere - Our guide Alex provided great background for the palace and took us through a well-thought out journey through key areas of the Upper Belvedere. Was just enough time to get an overview as well as some level of detail in key artists, including Klimt.

Educational and interesting - Alexander was a very knowledgeable, friendly guide with a good sense of humour. We were treated to the very best of Austrian art in the form of Klimt, Schiele and Messerschmidt amongst others. I felt I got my money’s worth.

World Class Museum, palace and gardens- A Must in Vienna - This was a great museum with the best works of Gustav Klimt, and we had an outstanding tour guide too. Plus, after this great tour, we ate in the outdoor cafe there and strolled the magnificent gardens- truly a wonderful day there.

Great museum tour - This turned out to be a private tour. It was just me and my husband. We enjoyed the guide as she was very nice and explain the history of the artists and painting very nicely. She also took her time and was not rushing us.

Excellent tour, almost too much - This tour offered a great combination of history, architecture, gardens, and art. Our guide was very personable and extremely knowledgeable. We have two suggestions. 1. She needed a microphone and 2. She needed to keep us moving more quickly. She was so passionate about the museum holdings that she spent too much time in each room, such that we barely got to see the Klimt paintings before we were saturated.

Interesting for serious academics and art lovers, not so great for teenagers/young adults and uneducated seniors - Our guide was very nice and had a ton of knowledge and background information on the Upper Belvedere and the artists and art held within and for that this experience was worth it. I particularly wanted to see the Klimt paintings, and was thrilled to get the opportunity to do that. My only criticism is that there was too much time spent lecturing at each painting, which made the tour hard to stay engaged with throughout the length of the tour and as it was a very hot and crowded day, that lost the crowd.
