Outstanding food tour and guide! - I spend a wonderful day with our guide Peter who treated us to great conversation and food. We learned about Viennese food culture, city history, what it is like to live in Vienna, and a wide range of other topics. Peter was simply outstanding and the food superb. Highly, highly recommended!

Excellent tour - Peter was an amazing guide with many decades of experience and incredible depth of knowledge in history as well as culinary traditions. Doing the tour was the highlight of our trip. Starting your stay with this would be the smart thing to do because you get recommendations for other places you know are well vetted

A must-do - Let me start by saying that this tour is not for the loud, pub-hopping bunch. However, if you are a foodie, I highly recommend it. I find that food tours are a great way to learn about people, places, and cultures. And if you're really into the "off the beaten path" or at least "non-touristy" approach, this tour is for you. The food and drinks were delicious, diverse, and plentiful (emphasis on "plentiful"--come hungry, pace yourself, and do not plan on having dinner that day). The portions are full-sized, not samples.
A few words about our guide Wolfi. I cannot say nice enough things about him. Wolfi is a Vienna native, which gives the tour extra authenticity. The day of our tour was a hot, summer day in Vienna. Wolfi was punctual, well prepared, and very conscientious about the needs and interests of his guests. He is also quite funny and curious.
The tour involves a lot of walking and use of public transportation. Rather than the typical twist--the imperial history of the city--the tour focuses on some niche flavors and cultural aspects of various Vienna districts. As such, we have visited a city market, a bohemian cafe founded by a fashion model, a pastry shop renowned for its--now patented--frozen apricot dumplings, a Jewish quarter, to name just a few. Wolfi is particularly knowledgeable about the Vienna wine region, and he also gives a list of recommendations for food and beverage-related places to visit. We have finished the tour within the advertised time slot but without feeling rushed. It was a great day in Vienna. Thank you, Wolfi!

Amazing food tour! - My husband and I did the small group food tour and loved it! Maria was an excellent guide. We ate so much food! It was interesting to learn about the food and drinks of Vienna and it was fun to try it all. I thought the process was easy with good communication. Would highly recommend and would even do it again! Thanks for making our trip to Vienna even more special. Great job!

Fun tour - The tour was outstanding. We made a mistake and had a small breakfast at hotel. Dumb. Maria did an excellent job- great variety of places , more than anyone could eat and it was fun. We were a friendly small group. Didn’t eat dinner that night. Highly recommended

Well, It IS a Food Tour! - It’s hard to express how much me and my family enjoyed this tour. Christof was funny, and helped weave in the story of Vienna from the time of Franz Joseph to the modern political and economic climate, all while helping us learn about and deeply appreciate the diverse and delicious food culture in Vienna.
Getting an opportunity to learn the subway and tram system While seeing parts of Vienna, that would certainly be off the beaten path for tourists, was an amazing way to see the city and experience its diverse cultures.
AND - the food. Wow. Strongly encourage you to eat a very light breakfast, if any at all. From the coffee house to the street food - you WILL NOT be disappointed (or hungry afterwards).

Great tour highly recommend - Guide Christoph was very knowledgeable and took us to a variety of places. All the food was really good and enjoyed learning all about Viennese food. Come hungry- there’s a lot of food to enjoy. The last stop (street food) had an amazing variety of foods that you won’t want to be too full for!
