- Great Sacred Stupa (Pha That Luang) - Pha That Luang is a gold-covered large Buddhist stupa in the centre of the city of Vientiane, Laos. Since its initial establishment, suggested to be in the 3rd century AD, the stupa has undergone several reconstructions as recently as the 1930s due to foreign invasions of the area. It is generally regarded as the most important national monument in Laos and a national symbol.

Prepare for a bustling morning! After a brief introduction with your local guide and driver, we’ll start the day with a tour of Patouxay (Lao PDR’s gateway to victory). Next will be a visit to That Luang Stupa, a symbol of Laos. We will then stop by the distinct Sisaket Temple built in Siamese fashion, and Hor Prakeo, the original temple of the Emerald Buddha.
The day proceeds with a trip to the famous market known as Talat Sao.

Depending on the weather and the time of the visit, the market may either be nearly deserted or bustling with people.
