Embark on an exhilarating adventure along the Ha Giang Loop in Vietnam, where you’ll be captivated by stunning mountain trails, charming villages, and thrilling activities like cave exploration and waterfall swimming.
- Hoàn Kiếm Lake - The Ha Giang loop has become increasingly popular in the last year, with many travellers departing clockwise around the loop. On this tour, we go counter-clockwise for a more special and intimate experience.
On Day 1, we will drive a motorbike to the scenic village of Du Gia, about 70km from HG. On the way, we’ll stop to visit a waterfall and river, where you can take a swim and enjoy nature. We’ll spend the night in a homestay in Du Gia.
On Day 2, we will drive to Dong Van. Once we arrive, we will go to the Lung Cu tower which is by the border with China. Next, we will explore Dong Van Town and try different cuisines and coffee. We will stay in a homestay in Dong Van Town and prepare for the next day’s long drive. If we are lucky enough to be there on Sunday we can visit the local market to try Phở Lợn (Pork Pho) and many other foods.
On Day 3, we will travel to the Hmong Royal Palace (the King of Dong Van). After we will visit Lung Tam market (silk village) and go to see the sunset in Quan Ba Mountain before spending the night at the Dao people’s homestay in Nam Dam.
On Day 4, we’ll casually drive back to Ha Giang before taking the bus back to Hanoi (afternoon or sleeper).

Our journey will kick off from Ha Giang City and cover 45 picturesque kilometers to Nam Dam, making a pitstop in Quan Ba. On the following day, we’ll trek to Lung Khuy Cave and then proceed to the country’s Extreme North Point. Our journey continues as we drive through the Ma Pi Leng Pass and culminate our adventure with a goodbye dinner in Ha Giang City. The last stretch of 40km will be at a gentle pace due to potential rough conditions.
During our adventure, we’ll visit a cave, spend time with locals in their homes, and enjoy a refreshing dip near a waterfall.
