History served up in an entertaining way - Our guide, Ieva, was entertaining, hugely knowledgeable and patient with all our questions. The tour itself was long but worth it because we learned so much about the 50 years of Soviet occupation.

Soviet Vilnius walking tour. - Inendra our guide was very good. She was approachable and we could all ask questions. She was knowledgeable and gave us tips of places to visit and where to sample local cuisine. I'd recommend this tour to anyone interested in the Soviet era history.

Time travel with a historian - Our tour guide was a student of history born in the year Lithuania achieved independence for the second time in the 20th century. We were taken on a historical journey, stopping at various landmarks large and small. Along the way we learned about the major events in Vilnius and Lithuania in the Soviet era as well as what daily life looked like for the average Lithuanian. Our group was fortunate enough to also have an attendee of Lithuanian origin who grew up in that era which made for an even more fascinating discussion. The tour was well-paced and the guide had a great deal of knowledge and patiently answered our questions. The tour concluded with the fascinating story of how the Soviet era ended in Lithuania when it became the first country to gain independence from the USSR.

Highly educational tour with knowledgeable guide - Our guide was highly knowledgeable about Lithuanian history and the tour was well put together. Even the biggest history buffs should be able to learn something, if not any new historical facts, then definitely some personal stories and perspectives. My only minor complaint was that, at some traffic lights, the group got spread out with the guide in the front, and I was worried we’d get separated by the light turning red.

Informative and thought-provoking - I had a very entertaining and informative tour today, which I can highly recommend. You can learn a lot about the Soviet era, its end and the time after. For me as a German, it was particularly interesting because of the parallels to the times and legacies of the Third Reich. Although the starting situation is not the same, as Lithuania is more of a victim, while we Germans have to deal with the consequences of our own actions. The tour got me thinking about it, and I thought that was very good. Thank you.
