- Gate of Dawn - The only remaining city gate from the former city wall that surrounded Vilnius, the Gates of Dawn is both historically relevant for Lithuania and important to Christianity. The small chapel inside the Gates holds an icon of the Virgin Mary without baby Jesus. For those who don’t have time to enter the chapel, you can see the icon, which is shining gold, from the street.

This excursion aims to offer a broad comprehension of the history and culture of Vilnius. It covers the key sightseeing spots in the Old Town as well as the creative Uzupis district. Our journey will weave through the main attractions of the Old Town, sites that we, too, take pleasure in revisiting. The Gothic and Baroque churches, our Cathedral, the Presidential Palace, Vilnius University, and the Jewish Quarter all feature on our route. You will traverse the ancient City Gate, a remnant of medieval fortifications, and meander through narrow streets that serve as an open-air gallery. There’s even a possibility of seeing locals hanging their washing on the narrowest street in Vilnius. Prepare your cameras to capture stunning cityscapes of Vilnius, architectural gems, and quirky art installations. Since this is a private tour, we encourage you to share any specific interests you have either in advance or at the start of the tour. We’ll make every effort to focus on areas that pique your interest.
