Highlights
  • Lake Vouliagmeni - Immediately to the south of town and very close to the sea, a rare geological formation is to be found that gave the suburb its modern name: Lake Vouliagmeni (“Sunken Lake”), a small brackish-water lake fed by underground currents seeping through the mass of Mount Hymettus. Because of its constant and comfortable water temperature -at about 24ºCelsius the lake functions as a year-round spa.
  • Temple of Poseidon - Depart from Athens and visit Cape Sounion which is an enchanting place to visit, located only about an hour and a half outside the city, offering to the visitors and travellers some of the most stunning views of the Attic landscape: The most expressive example of coexistence between beauty of Nature and the beauty of Art and Architecture.

Surmounted on a gorge almost 72 meters above the sea level stands the magnificent temple of Poseidon chanted through the centuries by numerous scholars and authors. The place that Aegeas , the legendary king of Athens leapt from into the water and gave his name to the Aegean Sea.

Awesome visit to Cape Sounion! - My daughter and I selected this tour after an experience the previous day with Athens Limo Tours. I am so glad we booked this! Dionisis organized an incredible trip for us to Cape Sounion with only a day’s notice on Greece’s national Independence Day. I couldn’t be more happy with the service we received from Michael, our driver, throughout the day. Michael was waiting for us outside our hotel at the appointed time. The trip to Cape Sounion took about an hour and a half. On the way there, Michael pointed out all the significant landmarks as well as some very interesting details on the area and its history. We stopped at two scenic locations for pictures and an overview of the area. Michael also went into the mythology pertinent to where we were, which my daughter thoroughly enjoyed. Once we arrived, Michael showed us the places to go for the best pictures and viewpoints. It was simply incredible. On the way back to Athens, we stopped to eat at a village seafood restaurant. It was extremely busy, but Michael was able to get us seated right away. The food was excellent! On the trip back, Michael engaged in conversation and answered questions readily. I couldn’t ask for more. It was a truly incredible, memorable experience!

Fantastic service! Thank you! - Dionisis was a consummate professional start to finish, had good suggestions on how best to organize our day wrt the places we wanted to see and the timing of it all. And the fish tavern he suggested for a late lunch was amazing... can’t go wrong with Athens Limo!

Excellent service. - Our group spent 5 full days in Athens. With Aris we went to Sounion Half Day Tour (for sunset). Well educated, well spoken, and humorous, our foursome enjoyed his guidance and the sites he drove us to. Everything was great, a lot of information.
