Great introduction to old Taipei - Nice short walking tour of old town Taipei. Jane provided a lot of interesting history about the city and the country and didn't shy away from tougher questions, such as about the larger country to the north. She also helped me find some delicious Taiwanese street snacks that were vegetarian and gave tips about shopping for local good. At the end of the tour I was in a rush to get to a lunch date and she helped translate directions for the taxi.

4 hour walk and cycle tour of the old Datong district of Taipei - We organised a four hour walk and cycle tour of the old Datong district of Taipei with Agnes. There were four of us including our two teenage kids and Agnes successfully managed to show us a great balance of historical locations and life in Taipei. We visited an old school including a brief history lesson in the classroom, Japanese market, temples, tea house (HERB BAR) where we sampled some treats and drank tea. We then got on a bike, cycled along the river which was fun before wandering back through the old merchant streets. Great fun and we enjoyed how Agnes shared her knowledge. Thanks again - a great trip. Alex

Wonderful afternoon in the real Taipei - I'm so glad I booked a tour with Agnes. In two hours she taught me many things about the history of Taiwan, Taipei and the Bangka area and its people in particular. I'll never forget fun details like the Dutch figures on the temple's incense burner, and why the temple roofs are shaped like they are. Thoroughly recommended!

Great experience in Taipei with Agnes - Agnes was very friendly and really knowledgeable about Taiwan's history and showed us a very nice temple. She was also sweet to adjust the tour to our requirements as we wanted to attend farmer's market and try local snacks, foods and drinks and she helped us a lot there as we don't speak the language. Thanks to Agnes we could try the most delicious things :o). We did not have much time to see many things but at least we can book her again when we stop in Taipei again, thank you Agnes.

Good tour but meeting location, another story! - Ok so the tour taken by Jane was great and she has much information on old and new Taipei. We walked, ate (own cost) some Taiwanese food (yum!), history, chatting and good experience. The only thing that was not good is the meeting area, it us at Longshan Temple Station exit 1. I stood there and no one arrived, I waited for about 20 minutes and in this time many men came up to me, staring, then I noticed scantily clad women (prostitutes) staring at me as well. This is the red light district of Taipei! As a solo female traveller this made me feel very uncomfortable, so much so I had to ask for help to a family standing close by as my mobile network does not work in Taiwan. They kindly helped me and called Jane who eventually arrived. The company should put a picture of where to stand or pick another meeting point NOT at the local red light district area! Also not everyone has a Taiwanese SIM so can be difficult.
