Highlights
  • U.S. Capitol - You may have learned a pretty good bit about this place in your history class, but we are going to tell you what your teacher didn’t. This place is crawling with the restless dead. We’ve got everything from bloodstains on the staircase to the phantom of one infernal feline.
  • Library of Congress - Here you will be learning not only about the contributions and sheer volume of books held within the world’s second largest library, but also the spirits haunting its walls.
  • Folger Shakespeare Library - George Eberhart once said that there are two reasons a library is haunted. The first is that the library was the scene of a tragedy. The second is that the former caretakers, librarians, and benefactors of the library are too attached to their collections to leave. Here you will find out which of the two is the cause of the hauntings within this great library.

Great Tour - It was a great tour for our family. The kids loved the stories and it was beautiful to see the Capitol, Library of Congress and Supreme Court at night

Fun tour! - Allegra was awesome!! She's fun, funny, knowledgeable, and a great storyteller. Her enthusiasm for the city and its stories and history are apparent. Highly recommend. We didn't see any ghostly activity this time, but you could still feel the creepiness in several areas.

Great ghost stories and many, too - The guy Michael who lead the tour was very pleasant! He had many a tale to tell and all stuck in my head with a smirk in my face. I enjoyed them all!

Spooky fun in the Capital - Richard was an amazing tour guide and filled the tour with the perfect mix of history and comedy. Our tour was intimate, it was only my friend, me, and one other party, so we were able to banter a little more than with a big group.

Highly recommend Richard and this ghost tour. - Our guide, Richard, greeted us and politely asked us to rest while the other couple arrived (just 5 of use on the tour) We started on time. Beautiful night of walking around the Capitol area of DC. Richard gave wonderful historical information at each stop, followed by the Ghosts associated with each locale. He was easy to hear and provided some photos of historical figures. He thoughtfully stopped where seating was available so we were able to comfortably listen to his interesting stories. He was likeable, fun and, at times, funny. Easy flat walking terrain and only short distances to negotiate. About an hour of very informative info. He graciously assisted with pictures. Highly Recommend tour, and Richard!

Cool - Good stuff. Yes good stuff. I don't want to put anything else. I almost didn't leave a review because it wants more.

Book at your own risk - you might get ‘ghosted’ too - We were so excited for the ghost tour and arrived promptly at 8:45 as instructed. After waiting around for a tour guide for 30 min, during which we sent an email and called the listed number and got no response- it was clear that no guide was coming. At around 9:30 (a half hour after the tour was set to start) we finally got in touch with someone on the phone. We were told, rather nonchalantly I should add, that the tour had been cancelled because we were the only 2 people that booked that evening. A phone call or email letting us know prior would have been appreciated, but that courtesy wasn’t offered to us.

Very boring - Very boring, too many random stories, lots of standing around. We visited 4 buildings in a circle, guide was hard to hear. There were around 25+ on the tour, which was too many. I felt like it was folk lore that you can google about each building. The buildings are very cool at night though.
