Highlights
  • White House - Strolling past the most iconic residence in the United States, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, visitors can view the Presidential Mansion from the outside. Entry into the building is not permitted at this moment.
    Adjacent to the White House is Black Lives Matter Plaza. Participants will have the chance to visit this area dedicated to the movement.

  • Lincoln Memorial - Guests will witness a magnificent Greek-style edifice honoring the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln, commemorating his leadership and dedication to the Union. It is also the location where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his renowned “I have a dream” speech.

  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial - A leader in the fight for civil rights and an eloquent speaker is honored with a memorial. The Martin Luther King Jr. monument, sculpted from granite, stands as a testament to resilience and moral fiber.

  • Lincoln Park - Home to the Emancipation Memorial, also known as the Freedman’s Memorial or the Emancipation Group, this monument is situated in Lincoln Park in the Capitol Hill area of Washington, D.C. Prior to the dedication of the more famous Lincoln Memorial in 1922, it was occasionally called the “Lincoln Memorial.” The Mary McLeod Bethune Legacy Statue is also featured at this location.

  • African American Civil War Memorial Museum - This memorial and museum acknowledges the service of over 200,000 African American soldiers in the American Civil War, including 7,000 white and over 2,000 Hispanic troops. It was inaugurated in the summer of 1998.

  • Howard University - Founded in 1867, this historically black university bears the name of General Oliver Otis Howard, a Civil War hero and the institution’s founder. Within its initial five years, the university provided education to 150,000 freed slaves.

  • U.S. Capitol - Perched on Capitol Hill, a towering cast iron dome dominates the cityscape where the nation’s lawmakers conduct legislative proceedings. Entry into the building is currently not available.

  • Freedom Plaza - Renamed in 1988 to “Freedom Plaza” in tribute to Martin Luther King Jr., this public square honors the civil rights leader who composed his “I Have a Dream” speech at the Willard Hotel close by.
