Highlights

Arrival; Garni-Geghard

The Monastery of Geghard - Experience the enigma and explore the 4th-century Geghard monastery, carved into the rock. The name Geghard originates from the spear once kept there, which a Roman soldier used to pierce Christ’s side. In Armenian, it is called “geghard”. The spear is now housed in the museum of Etchmiadzin.

Garni Temple - Continue your delightful tour to the 1st Century A.D. Garni, the only remaining pagan temple in Armenia. The temple stands on a stunning plateau, which, along with the surrounding area, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Khor Virap-Etchmiadzin-Zvartnots-Departure

Khor Virap - Travel through the picturesque Ararat Valley to the 4th-century Khor Virap monastery, where you can enjoy views of Mt. Ararat. This mountain connects you to your ancestral roots. “Khor Virap” means “deep dungeon”, where the first Armenian Catholicos Gregory the Illuminator was imprisoned for 13 years for promoting Christianity in the 4th century.

The Churches of Echmiatsin and the Archaeological Site of Zvartnots - Experience the essence of Christianity!

Did you know Armenia has another capital besides Yerevan? It is Etchmiadzin, the spiritual heart of Armenia.

Visit the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the religious center of Armenia. The church was built where the Son of God (Jesus Christ) appeared in a vision to the first Catholicos of Armenia, St. Gregory the Illuminator. This is the origin of the name Etchmiadzin (Only-begotten came down). You will participate in a holy liturgy.

On the return journey to Yerevan, visit the 7th-century Armenian sanctuary Zvartnots, meaning “Angels meeting”. Both Zvartnots temple and the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin are UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Sites.

The best tour & kindest driver! - I honestly couldn't have asked for a better driver, we had such a great time on our private tour! We went to a bunch of places all around Armenia during our stay, including Tatev Monastery + cable car, Khor Virap & many more! They helped us make a tour that included everywhere we wanted to go. It made our visit so special ♥️

Professional team - We spent a couple of days in Armenia. Everything was well organized (drivers, itinerary etc), really professional! In two days we visited Garni, Geghard, Khor Virap, Echmiadzin, Zvartnots, Sevan lake and some other monasteries around it. I wish we had more time in Armenia, many other interesting places to see. Next time! Thank you!
