Lester the legend - Wow what a day and what an experience. Lester our guide told us so much about lotr and the filming locations. Even our son who is a super-fan learned some stuff he hadn’t heard before. The whole day was engaging and interesting with lots of local history and anecdotes. The tour was very personal as it was just us and Lester and he went out of his way to make sure we had fun and were comfortable. We can’t thank him enough. Very highly recommended.

Discover the places and history of the legendary trilogy - Wayne was an incredible guide with very entertaining commentary, and the locations showcased were stunning as to be expected from filming locations for such legendary films alongside New Zealands natural beauty.

Good experience for fans and non-fans - My husband is a LOR nerd and he loved it, so that’s all I care about! While I’m not a fan, seeing the nature and Weta was very cool.

Knowledgeable guide and beautiful scenery - Went with a friend and we wound up being the only people on the tour for the day. Even if these areas weren't associated with LORT, we agreed we were happy to have booked just to see the local flora and fauna. Our guide had loads of information for us and was an over joy to have been around.

A Tour for LOTR Nerds - Our tour guide was Stan. He was kind, informative, and entertaining. As others have noted, this tour is better suited for LOTR super fans/nerds that really appreciate the details and backstory behind the filmmaking process.

The Lord of the Tours!! - Wow, it's hard to pick a favorite. Our guide, Lester, was phenomenal. He was so knowledgeable and a great storyteller! The large photos of movie scenes helped bring each setting alive. WETA Workshop was very cool as well. We ditched our regular tour group's daily activity to take this Lord of the Rings tour and we're very happy that we did!!! Thank you, Lester, for a fantastic day!!!
