  • The Comedy Store - Once a nightclub troubled by mobsters, this venue shut down due to the owner’s financial woes. It reopened in 1972 as The Comedy Store, the world’s first nightclub dedicated solely to standup comedy.
  • Pendry West Hollywood - Formerly The House of Blues, the first one built west of the Mississippi. The House of Blues closed in 2015 and was the site of Tupac Shakur’s last recorded performance before his tragic death.

  • The Viper Room - Known for its scandals and tragedies, this nightclub is most infamous as the location where River Phoenix died in the 1990s.
  • Whisky a Go Go - An iconic venue, this nightclub is the birthplace of go-go dancing and had The Doors as its house band before they became famous.
  • The Roxy - Celebrated for hosting both established and emerging artists, this theatre has seen the rise of many popular acts, including Paul Reuben’s “Pee Wee Herman” character.
  • Rainbow Bar and Grill - Known as The Villa Nova from the 1940s to the 1960s, this spot was a romantic hotspot, witnessing Vincent Minelli’s proposal to Judy Garland and Marilyn Monroe’s meeting with her second husband, Joe DiMaggio.
