- Willow Beach Marina - On this tour, you’ll paddle 4-6 miles on the Colorado River, through primitive volcanic canyon walls towering over 900 feet above you. You’ll see giant volcanic boulders at the opening of Black Canyon and crystal clear emerald water beneath you as you paddle along. Enjoy a health-conscious gourmet lunch on a remote beach, while possibly seeing the local wildlife such as desert bighorn sheep, osprey, falcons, bald eagles and great blue heron in their natural setting! Black Canyon, about an hour drive from the Las Vegas Strip, is located in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Your kayak tour begins in the morning when you arrive at Willow Beach, Arizona where you will meet your Wilderness First Aid/CPR trained guide for a safety briefing. This tour is designed for beginners to advanced paddlers alike and you can choose between self-drive to the departure point or shuttle transportation from select Las Vegas hotels.

Additional Information
Combine the history of Black Canyon with the beauty of Emerald Cave on this guided kayak tour. You’ll paddle between 4-6 miles on the Colorado River, enjoying time for photo ops on the crystal clear water, stops to admire the scenery and you’ll also learn a little about the historical sites in the canyon. Make a stop at a small beach for a deli-catered lunch and a swim in the cool waters before making your way back to Willow Beach. You can choose between self-drive to the departure point or a shuttle from select Las Vegas hotels.

Please meet your guide at the Paddle craft launch beach 20 minutes before your tour start time to get fitted with life vests and kayaks. Tours will begin promptly at their scheduled start time. Please do not use ride share as there is no cell reception to book your return ride.

Emerald Caves trip - We had so much fun and Faith was an awesome guide. Definitely going to book another trip with her early next year. She was so knowledgeable about the building of the Hoover Dam

Evolution Expedition Emerald Cave Tour - Amazing kayak excursion into the Black Canyon! We loved the whole tour. Faith was our guide and she was great! Very knowledgeable, helpful, and fun. We would definitely recommend this tour and try to get Faith as your guide!

Fantastic Experience! Faith is a great tour guide. Would highly recommend! - I would highly recommend this tour. It was my first time kayaking anywhere, but after a few minutes, I felt I had the hang of it. Our tour guide Faith was fantastic as a guide and host. She was very knowledgeable and informative about the area (Lake Mead, Colorado River and Emerald Cave). It goes without saying this area is very hot (particularly in the summer months) and there's a lot of sun exposure so hydrate well and wear proper clothing and sunscreen. It was well worth the money I spent in my opinion.

Fun day out - Trip was amazing had a blast Faith our guide was so friendly, knowledgeable, and super helpful! We ran into a group that some fell out of their kayak and she responded quickly and helped him get back!

AMAZING EXPERIENCE - Aaron was AMAZING accommodating our transportation, my husband’s lunch as he is lactose intolerant, and offering other packages we did not know about. We will definitely recommend this company to friends and family.
Maggie, our tour guide was also AMAZING, she made sure to share her knowledge of the area, geography, local plants and animals, and the dump history. She fairly distributed her time among the participants. Lovely personality.
As per the adventure itself, we liked it so much, this was our second time.

Magical Emerald Water - Maggie and Ryan were my tour guides. This was such a magical place and a great way to get away from Las Vegas for a half day adventure.
I was traveling alone and pick up was easy and I felt safe the whole trip. Maggie is an excellent driver I got us to and from the hotel safely.
