Highlights
  • Colonial Williamsburg Capitol Building - Experience the many ghosts of this old colonial town that are still seen today. Learn of the hangings of Blackbeard’s crew and what happened to Blackbeard’s skull. Did our forefathers really drink from his skull? Stand right where Grace Sherwood, the most famous witch, is often seen during mock trials in the Capitol and hear of her fate, finally pardoned by Gov. Tim Kean after centuries of being called the Witch of Pungo. Learn of Anne Bonny and Mary Reed (a woman posing as Mark Reed) who were aboard Calico Jack’s ship and fought like men. Top it all off by going to the Jones Graveyard, where Ida Jones still haunts the graves today, in the late-night hours.

Good, but TOO LONG - Ran over - The stories and engagement were great for my young kids. However, I was already hesitant to take this tour over others due to the longer time advertised (1hr 45min). I decided for it based on the character addition as added entertainment value for my kids. I was NOT pleased at all when the tour ran nearly 25 minutes late. Started on time, but went until nearly 10:10, instead of the planned 9:45. It was already very long and late, I wasn't happy at all to be so much later. I considered giving it a 3-star review, but my kids really enjoyed it. Please be more considerate of people's time next time!!

Great excursion - Our guide, Lexi, provided great information and conveyed her knowledge pertinent to the event. It was fast moving but that should be expected for such detailed descriptions at several “stopping points”.

Not worth the money - 100% not worth the money unless you have kids. This is just adult tour guide playing dress up and talking about witches and pirates. Not an actual “ghost” tour
