- Kirkstone Mountain Pass - A brief stop at Kirskstone Pass for photos
- Ullswater Lake - We stop on the shore of Ullswater for another photo opportunity
- Aira Force Waterfall - An opportunity to take a short walk through the forest to the waterfall of Aira Force. It’s great to be able to explore the outdoors here on well established paths.
- Castlerigg Stone Circle - We then make our way to Castlerigg Stone Circle to explore this late Neolithic stone circle.
- Theatre by the Lake - Our lunch stop is at the cafe attached to the Theatre by the Lake at Lakeside, Keswick. This great location is right next to Derwentwater and you will have plenty of opportunity to explore the area
- Derwentwater - There is time for a brief walk along the shore of Derwentwater
- Ashness Bridge - We now make our way to Suprise View and Ashness Bridge for fantastic views across Derwentwater towards Catbells and Skiddaw. You will have plenty of time for photos!
- Honister Slate Mine - Our next stop is at Honister Slate Mine, the last slate mine in England. The views from here are fantastic.
- Buttermere Lake - We travel down the Honister Pass to Buttermere. More opportunities for photos!
- Moss Force Waterfall - After climbing up the Newlands Pass we arrive at Moss Force waterfall. We will stop here to take in the views.
- Bassenthwaite Lake - Weather permitting, we will call in at a great overlook spot for Bassenthwaite Lake.
- The Grasmere Gingerbread Shop - We pass through Grasmere and see the world famous Gingerbread Shop
- Wordsworth Grasmere - A brief stop outside of Dove Cottage to see the place where William Wordsworth lived.

- The time of pickup from Oxenholme train station is timed to meet the first train heading towards Glasgow from London Euston on Mondays to Saturdays
- The English Lake District weather can change quickly, even in the summer months. Please bring a waterproof coat with a hood in case of rain or windy weather
- As there is a little walking involved on the tour, some uphill and on uneven or wet terrain, please wear suitable, comfortable shoes
- The route is subject to change is the weather conditions prevent us using our normal routes
- Children under the age of 5 can travel on this tour but we do not recommend it
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- All passengers, including children of any age, must have a seat purchased for them
- We will collect you from the departure point linked to your chosen option. Please do not change to a different departure point without informing us in advance as we don’t automatically go to every departure point. If we don’t know you have changed your departure point we may not pick you up for the tour!

Great tour made even better by guides! - We spent a wonderful day in this beautiful part of the country with two kind experts and locals. Gillian and Sandra made a great team with lots of interesting history and showed us lovely highlights of the region. We will definitely be returning to check out some of their recommendations!

One tour not to be... - One tour not to be missed. Great tour guide. Very knowledgeable and went above and beyond answering questions. Very friendly, was like we was on a tour with a friend. View points were breathtaking

Fantastic day! - Had the best day with Tim on this tour. His company was fantastic only beaten by his knowledge of the area. Excellent way to see a large area of the lakes whilst learning the history and being expertly driven up some questionable roads to some amazing view points. Highly recommended

Well worth the experience, the scenery was amazing, as it was raining on and off we saw some amazing waterfalls. - The whole experience was fabulous, the guide and driver where fantastic very knowledgeable we would do it again.

Marvellous day in The Lakes! - Tim gave us a fabulous day, calmly and expertly driving on hairy roads to gorgeous spots we would not have found on our own. Tim’s knowledge of both historical and current events and places of interest brought The Lakes alive for us. We had a real mix of weather and were lucky to see this beautiful place in a variety of conditions, all in one day. Note that the parking lot where you meet up does NOT allow for all day parking. You may park all day in another lot very close by, so arrive early enough to allow for a short walk over to the meeting place. I highly recommend this tour!

First class tour! Cumbria is so beautiful! - Brilliant tour we did the winter lakes tour and was amazing. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and patient. Great value for money because we covered so much including less busy touristy locations, Cumbria is stunningly breathtaking !!!

Beautiful day in the Lakes - We had such a great time on this small group tour! We learned so much and saw beautiful sites. The van was comfortable and you could hear the tour guide really well. We enjoyed every moment of it.

A day to remember in the Lake District - We just returned from the Ten Lakes Scenic Tour with the amazing Tim and had to write a 5 star review straight away!! WOW! What a PERFECT day we had!!! The weather was perfect (fantastic weather for February!) and we lucked out with an intimate group of just 4 of us on the tour. Tim was extremely knowledgeable and kind, we throughly enjoyed his tour through the beautiful Lake District! We were only here in Keswick for 2 nights and we HIGHLY recommend booking a tour with Tim at English Lakes Tours!! You will not be disappointed!!

Once in a lifetime trip - We booked this tour as we’d never been to the Lake District before so we wanted to see the best it could offer and this tour showed us that. Tim our driver was full of knowledge and knew where all the good photo spots were. Although some passes were closed off due to snow, we still went as far as our van could make it. Just shows that he knows this place and where to go to give you the best tour possible.
