Best snorkeling experience in Moorea. - We did this tour from the Sofitel Hotel, Moorea. Niko, our guide, was the best. He fitted us all with wetsuits and full-face snorkeling helmets, took time to explain how to work the sea scooters and was very patient with all questions and concerns. The sea scooters let you travel faster than swimming and Niko takes you to 2 spots, including Jardin de Corail (Coral Gardens) which is a small motu (island). The corals there are spectacular and you are surrounded by schools of fish, three adorable sting rays and turtles. We even swam with black-tipped sharks (who are shy and keep their distance). This is a different experience at the beautiful coral reefs of Moorea and a must do in my opinion. Niko is an expert guide and kind tour operator. Swimming with schools of brightly colored tropical fish will be a memory worth cherishing.

A new experience for a couple of oldies - Seeing such a variety of coral and fish was amazing. Well worth the price. We are two over seventies and found it easy to do.

Great experience - We had an amazing snorkeling experience thanks to our guide! They were knowledgeable, patient, and made sure everyone felt safe. we saw so much marine life we wouldn't have noticed without their guidance. Highly recommend!

Get Your 007 On!!! - These guys were awesome!!! the Short Captain and Nico...the crew at the dive shop there at the Sofitel...they ran a great show...we got a good price for a 2 hour excursion, and we sprang for the video and photo package...the quality of the vid / pic package was "national geographic quality"...it was very personal and reflected everything our trip was about...i can't say enough on this one...it rated at the top of our list for our experiences in the islands and all but the best money spent on our trip...do this if you have the chance...

Unique water excursion! - The staff was fun and friendly, gave clear instructions, provided all equipment and took great care of everyone. The scooters are simple to operate and create a sensation of "flying" through the water. This is an easy tour that will allow you to see some great coral gardens and won't consume your entire day. You won't be disappointed.

Easy and super fun - Lot of fun. Saw hundreds of fish. (though most were very small and a couple of large ones). Manuu our guide gave great instruction and went out of his way to take care of a couple of 70 years.

Truly an unforgettable experience! - Guide Nicholas and boat captain Manu were both fantastic! I'd never used a sea scooter before, and they made it feel safe & easy to understand. There was so much sea life to see, I almost couldn't believe it was real. Definitely one of the highlights of our whole time in French Polynesia.

Trip great, full face mask/snorkel rubbish. - This was a great trip in that you got a boat ride to two places in the lagoon, skimming over shallow, super clear water. The second, at the south of the island was by far the best with tame sting rays and towards the end, a steep drop off into a very deep part of the lagoon. The operator suppliers full face snorkel/masks which my family and I found leaked, required somewhat shallow breathing and on some of them you couldn’t squeeze your nose to equalize. On second dive I used my own standard mask snorkel combo and that was MUCH better. I get it that the full face combination is probably a less hassle option for the operators who probably have a lot of first time snorklers. But, In my view the operator should supply a choice of mask/snorkel design. My recommendation is to bring your own if you’ve ever snorkled before.
