Highlights
  • Church of St. John The Baptist - This impressive church boasts the third largest unsupported dome in the world. Against a small donation to the church guests can gain access to the roof of the rotunda through a lift and enjoy stunning 360 degrees view of Gozo.
  • Sanap Cliffs - Not accessible by public transport or hop-on/hop-off tours, Sannap Cliffs is one of the highest points on Gozo. These breathtaking cliffs are a hidden gem, with views of Malta and Comino in the distance.
  • Xlendi Beach, Cliff and Caves - Xlendi is a very popular destination on Gozo, with beautiful blue water, cliffs and Xlendi Tower. We stop at the Belvedere overlooking the Xlendi tower and bay.
  • Ta’ Pinu National Shrine - Ta Pinu is a wonderful example of Gozo culture, this spectacular Basilica sits by itself in the countryside, with extensive murals and mosaics both inside and out.
  • The Citadel - You can’t go far in Gozo without seeing The Citadel, perched on top of the rocks right in the centre of Gozo. From on top of the walls, almost all of Gozo can be seen, whilst the citadel hides secrets underneath, including WW2 shelters and grain silos.
  • Xwejni Salt Pans - The 350-year-old salt pans found at Xwejni Bay stretch about three kilometres along this coast and are more than just the perfect spot to get a scenic snap for your Instagram! This site is one of the more popular ones on the island but, you can also take a look at others located at Marsalforn, Qala, Dwejra and Xlendi.
  • Marsalforn Bay - Marsalforn is home to the Salt Pans, which are, as the name suggests, pans cut out of the rock where Gozitans still make salt to this day. The pans stretch for many kilometres.Guests can enjoy a traditional light lunch at a nearby restaurant
  • Qala - Belvedere
  • Blue Lagoon - Weather permitting on the return boat voyage from Gozo to Malta Yippee Island Hopper boat sails around the picture-perfect Blue Lagoon and Comino’s captivating caves.
  • Wied il-Ghasri - Since the valley follows a winding path that leads to the open sea, you can enjoy a dip in the Mediterranean at the end of the valley where a small and secluded pebbly bay lies.

Although it seems inaccessible, a series of steps have been cut into one side of the cliff face, taking you to the tiny pebbly beach. On your way down the stairs, you’ll get a full view of the natural beauty that surrounds you so make sure you keep a camera handy.

  • Ggantija - The Ġgantija Archaeological Park complex is a unique prehistoric monument situated at the centre of an extraordinary archaeological landscape, the Xagħra plateau on the island of Gozo. It consists of two structures built between c.3600 and c.3200 BC.

Great experience - My husband and I had a wonderful experience on this trip. We were interested in visiting the Ggantija temples and they were going to accommodate us (it just meant we would miss a few of the stops) but we decided to forego this stop and just visit all the other stops with the rest of our group. There was ample time to take photos along the way and at the sites. Also, the traditional lunch was great - quite filling. Also beware, it is extremely hot in July so don't forget sunscreen and a hat!

Amazing tour, beautiful sunset - We had such a great evening tour. Swim in the blue lagoon, touring around Gozo by tuk tuk, great food and an amazing sunset. Our tour guide Maurice was knowledgeable and really good fun. Yippee made it all so easy for us which was great in the heat.

Yippee Tuk Tuk Tour of Gozo - I had a blast on this Tuk Tuk tour with the Australian Tour guide. He was hilarious from beginning to end. I had fun zipping from one destination to the next on Gozo. The Sanap Cliffs and the Xlendi Beach Cliff and Caves are beautiful. I was moved by the stories of documented miracles attributed to the Virgin Mary of Ta'Pinu. There were so many and I wanted to read all of them. Their stories are all at the back of the church behind the altar. I wanted to stay longer but our busy schedule did not allow it. For those of you who are interested in visiting, keep in mind that the Pope visits here every few years. Therefore, if you can, you may want your visit to coincide with his visit. This tour also included a stop at the beautifully preserved old city of Cittadella. This city was used quite a bit for Game of Thrones episodes. I brought it up with our tour group and it turns out that just about everyone on the tour was a fan. We all crossed notes about the show during our lunch break. My only regret is that some of us took too long during some of the stops and therefore our stop to Ggantia was cut to stay with in the tour time constraints. I highly recommend this tour for any first time visitor to Gozo.

Michael and his pink tuk tuk - Such an amazing experience. Michael and his pink tuk tuk was the best way we could experience Gozo. Michael made the tour amazingly fun, and him singing “I’m a barbie girl” while driving the pink tuk tuk made our day! He also let us the history of the places, where to (and where not to) eat or buy drinks, etc. I would highly recommend the tuk tuk tour and definitely over the other jeep tours or hop-on-hop-off buses. They are much more relaxed and fun.

The best way to explore Gozo - A fabulous way to experience the highlights of the island followed by a refreshing dip in the crystal blue sea. The tuk tuk driver (Nick) asked us what we wanted to do as a group. Although I was travelling on my own it was nice to be with others. We all had a similar goal which was to see a bit of everything. It was great driving around the rock lined roads seeing churches, scenery, beaches, everyday life and points of interest. We had time to explore Victoria as we chose not to swim as we knew we would swim near Comino on the way back. Two points to note: If you are a vegan ensure they book your lunch. I had requested this but they weren't aware of it. I was told when I booked that I could pay by card but ended up going to an ATM to withdraw cash. It was good value and much better than taking the hop on hop off bus as it avoided waiting for an empty bus and ensured we saw a lot of landmarks in the time. Highly recommended. Top tip: take lots of water.

One without fail for this excursion: thank you - A superb day from start to finish: we pick you up to your accommodation to drop you off at the Check-out of the boat. This tour of Gozo in Tuk Tuk with Lisa at the controls ❤️ was great and complete. The return swim in the turquoise waters of Comino was refreshing with the heat of summer. A perfect day, organized, in a super nice atmosphere with our sidekicks of the day: Juan (a treat this Spritz), Giuseppe and Mehdi. Thank you for this wonderful excursion.
