Joe - Our guide Judy was excellent. She really knew the history and the city. Could not have been better. She knew all about the the terracotta soldiers and how they were discovered and how archeologists today are working to preserve the soldiers.

Xi’an 24-26 March 2019 - Roger and Emily - Xi’an 24-26 March 2019 Roger was an amazing tour guide, very friendly. He was full of information. I can’t believe how much he remembers about China’s history. Having a personal tour guide helped a lot being able explain history, buildings and to know where to go and there is room for flexibly. Emily was the original person I was in contact with to organize/book everything through Travel China Guide. She was so helpful in organizing my stay. I had a couple changes that she was able to help me with. Everything felt really personalized. In Xi’an, Emily even stopped by to say hi and deliver a framed photo Roger helped take. I thought it was really nice to be able to meet the person that I have been communicating through email. Great service! The Driver I do not know how he navigated Xi’an streets. Great driver. I definitely would not have been able to drive Xi’an streets. The bike ride along the city wall in Xi'an was nice especially case I don’t even remember the last time I rode a bike. There was not a lot of people on the city wall so it was very nice and relaxing (45 yuan for single person bike). I don’t remember the option for a bike ride being mentioned on my initial tour information. Meeting the farmer who first found the Terracotta Warriors and being able to get his signature in a Terracotta Warriors souvenir book and taking a picture with him was amazing (200 yuan). The Terracotta Warriors replicas only in his shop are made from the same clay as original Terracotta Warriors and comes with certificate of authenticity. I had time to shop around the area visiting the government Jade factory. If you plan on buying jade it is supposedly the cheapest place where you can find it. I ended up getting a jade bracelet and jade pendent. Purchases comes with certificate of authenticity. My favorite part is that Roger helped takes pictures for me because my phone camera was not taking good pictures. Also his food suggestions where delicious. The Qin Wang Noodles has been my favorite dish through my whole China trip. I would suggest for people traveling to China to download “WeChat” before arriving. It makes it easier to communicate with your guides. For people riding the train NO big aerosol cans. Like hairspray. I just had a small can of bug spray train station stopped to check it out. I was able to go through with a small can but if it was bigger it would not have been allowed.

Xi'an Private Tour with Carol Chen - My friends and I took a private two day tour with Carol Chen earlier this month. Carol picked us up at the airport and welcomed us warmly to her city. Her knowledge of the city was amazing and it matched the enthusiasm with which she shared it. Carol shared insights of Chinese history that were very interesting. She was very flexible while keeping us all on schedule. The tour ended with an authentic Chinese home cooked meal, This was an amazing experience. Carol took us to the airport and waited until we cleared security and were out of sight. I highly recommend Carol should you want to visit Xi'an you are guaranteed a great time. Thank you Carol and I will be back.

8 day trio Beijing Xian Shanghai (March 2019) with Jacky as our Guide (Xian) - After our group left Beijing on a high,we were looking forward to Xian and the visit to see the Terracotta warriors. Jacky our Guide met us at the airport and introduced us to the city, the terracotta army experience as well as the magnificent Little Goose Pagoda, an introduction to calligraphy and organising a truly memorable lunch with a local family. Travel China guides are simply the best way to see China and I would recommend their services as well as the services of their amazing guides to anyone planning on taking a trip to China

A superb and stress-free tour - My wife and I were picked up from the hotel promptly at the appointed hour of 9am by our tour guide 'Susan', for the Xi'an city Private Day Tour: City Wall, Great Mosque, Shaanxi History Museum and Big Wild Goose Pagoda. First stop was the Wild Goose Pagoda where our tour guide gave a marvellous briefing about what we would see and why, and while there gave full and excellent explanations of what we were looking at, explaining the importance of what had taken place there. Fascinating place! Next stop was the museum. Again our guide gave us very good advice about how to get around the place, mainly to focus upon what interested us directly rather than aimlessly wondering around. It was a little busy and we were grateful that the weather was cool as the press of people in the museum could have been quite oppressive otherwise. Next stop was lunch. We were taken to a genuine, local Chinese restaurant where we had an excellent, substantial and tasty meal that comprised of two dishes that we chose with advice! We were very surprised at just how good the food was as we had never had those dishes in Chinese restaurants anywhere else in the world. Following our lunch we were taken to the City Wall which was just breath-taking! After taking a stroll in both directions to view the ramparts and sentry buildings we vowed to return and circumnavigate it! Our last destination was the Great Mosque. Now, what was surprising upon our arrival there was that we then realised that in complete ignorance we had walked right passed the entrance two days previously not knowing it was there. Indeed, I would sum up this excellent private tour with that fact in mind. We would never have seen the sights that we saw if we had not booked this tour, I really mean that we would not have made it to all these places on our own, and that we would have missed out on the very erudite explanations of what we were looking at if we had not taken this tour and, without a doubt, our guide 'Susan' ensured that our tour was completely stress free out. All in all it was an excellent tour, the guide was excellent, and it was exceptional value for money - I highly recommend it!
