This golden sculpture, dating back to the 13th century, stands nearly 5 metres tall. Situated in Chinatown Bangkok, this elaborate temple is approximately 450 metres west of the Hualampong Railway Station.
  • Wat Phra Chetuphon - Wat Pho, also known as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha or Wat Phra Chetuphon, is located just behind the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. It’s a must-visit for any first-time traveler to Bangkok. As one of the city’s largest temple complexes, it is famous for its enormous reclining Buddha, which is 46 metres long and covered in gold leaf. This site is a World Heritage Site.
  • Temple Of Dawn (Wat Arun) - Wat Arun, also known locally as Wat Chaeng, is a prominent temple on the west (Thonburi) bank of the Chao Phraya River. It is one of the most beautiful temples in Bangkok, not only because of its riverside setting but also due to its unique design compared to other temples in the Thai capital. Great way to see the temples - This was a great way to see the temples. I really appreciated the hotel pick up in an air conditioned vehicle. Sunee, my guide, was the best! She was knowledgeable, kind, funny, and really tended to the needs and requests of those on the tour. She took us to each location, and really did a good job of not hurrying us, but also not staying in one place too long. She took photos, which was really nice as I was traveling solo. She also offered us the option of taking a longboat canal tour instead of the ferry and we loved it. Make sure you have the appropriate clothing to be respectful in the temples. I highly recommend bringing a hand held fan along, as it is hot when you have to be covered up.

This! - We definitely recommend this experience if you want to see Bangkok’s main landmarks and travel as a local. We had a lot of fun and learned a lot from Wan, our amazing guide, who is knowledgeable, kind, funny and extremely helpful. The tour allows to see several shrines across different areas of the city at a pleasant pace and we also enjoyed a tasty break in a real local restaurant. Highly recommended!
