Republic Square - Welcome to Armenia! Upon your arrival at Zvartnots International Airport, our FeelArmenia team from Fairyland LLC will greet you and escort you to your hotel.

City Tour: Cascade Complex-Opera House-Northern Avenue-History Museum-Megerian Carpet-Ararat Brandy

Cafesjian Center for the Arts - We begin by exploring the capital city of Armenia. Yerevan, which is over 2800 years old and predates Rome, is our first stop. In the morning, we visit the Cascade Complex, an open-air museum showcasing modern art. From the top, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city and the majestic Mt Ararat.

Then, prepare for a lively day ahead. You’ll visit Megerian Carpet, an exhibition hall featuring hundreds of Armenian national rugs, clothing, and other traditional items. The final stop of the day is the Ararat Brandy Factory, where you’ll learn about the brandy-making process and sample two types of cognac.

History Museum of Armenia - A morning walk to the Opera House will invigorate you, allowing you to experience the daily life of Yerevan’s residents. From the Opera House, we’ll proceed to Republic Square via Northern Avenue, a bustling area reminiscent of New York City. At Republic Square, we’ll visit the History Museum to learn about Armenia, one of the world’s oldest countries.

Megerian Carpet Armenia - Next, we’ll visit Megerian Carpet, an exhibition hall showcasing hundreds of Armenian national rugs, clothing, and other traditional items.

ARARAT Museum - Our final stop of the day is the Ararat Brandy Factory, where you’ll learn about the brandy-making process and sample two types of cognac.

Geghard - Garni – Duduk Concert-Vernissage

The Monastery of Geghard - We head to Geghard Monastery, a 4th-century monastic complex set amidst lush nature. The monastery’s architecture, location, and grandeur are awe-inspiring, surrounded by mountains and green forests that transport you to another world.

Garni Temple - Next, we visit Garni, a large village in Kotayk province inhabited since the 3rd millennium BC. Here, you’ll see a remarkable piece of architecture: a 1st-century AD temple in the Hellenistic style, dedicated to the sun god Mihr. Adjacent to the temple are the foundations of a church that was never completed. The temple stands on a cliff overlooking a stunning gorge and mountains. At Garni Temple, you’ll also enjoy a Duduk Concert, featuring an Armenian musical instrument renowned worldwide.

Vernissage Market - After the concert, we’ll return to Yerevan to visit Vernissage, an open market offering Armenian traditional items, including souvenirs, jewelry, handicrafts, and national clothing accessories.

St Gayane-St Hripsime-Etchmiadzin- Zvartnots

Saint Hripsime Church - Today, we delve into the roots of Christianity. We’ll visit several churches to learn about the origins of Christianity in Armenia. In the morning, we head to Etchmiadzin, Armenia’s spiritual city, to visit St Gayane and St Hripsime churches, built in honor of virgins Gayane and Hripsime, who preached Christianity in Armenia and were martyred by King Trdat before the religion was adopted.

Alex and Marie Manoogian Treasury House Museum - Next, we visit the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the first Christian monastery built not only in Armenia but in the world. This is where the Catholicos resides and gathers Christians.

The Churches of Echmiatsin and the Archaeological Site of Zvartnots - Nearby, we’ll visit Zvartnots Cathedral, which, though in ruins, retains its charm. Dating back to the 7th century, the reasons for its collapse remain unknown.

Saghmosavank-Haghpat-Sanahin-Dilijan

Saghmosavank Monastery - Today, we venture into Armenia’s regions, starting with the Aragatsotn region to visit a stunning monastery on the edge of the Kasagh River gorge. The 13th-century Saghmosavank monastic complex was a major book depository, where Armenian masters and painters created valuable manuscripts.

Monastery of Sanahin - Continuing to Lori province, we’ll visit Haghpat and Sanahin, two significant sites of Armenian architecture. These monasteries, dating from the 10th to 13th centuries, were centers of education, literature, and art. Sanahin was renowned for its school of illuminators and calligraphers.

Dilijan - From Lori, we’ll travel to Tavush region to stay in Dilijan and enjoy the region’s superb nature.

Dilijan-Goshavank-Haghartsin-Dilijan

Haghartsin Monastery - After visiting Goshavank, we’ll head to Haghartsin, the “white pearl of the forest.” This 11th-century monastic complex became an important center for education and culture in the 13th century.

Dilijan - Finally, we’ll explore Old Dilijan, where you’ll see the preserved way of life in Armenia, with its unique houses, streets, and balconies.

Dilijan-Sevanavank-Noratous-Selim-Yeghegis-Jermuk

Monastery Sevanavank - Leaving Dilijan, we’ll head to Lake Sevan and climb the hill on the peninsula to visit an 8th-century monastery. Sevanavank and the peninsula have played crucial roles in Armenian history. The lake, known as the “blue eye of Armenia,” is one of the world’s largest high-altitude freshwater lakes.

Selim Caravanserai - Our next stop is Selim, where we’ll visit the 14th-century Selim Caravanserai, a well-preserved accommodation for travelers along the Silk Road.

Zorats Church - After Selim, we’ll visit Yeghegis, a historically rich city that was the seat of the Orbelian family in the 13th-14th centuries. Despite numerous hardships, the city has preserved its cultural heritage. Zorats Church, built for warriors to receive blessings while on horseback, overlooks the river.

Jermuk - From Yeghegis, we’ll travel to Jermuk for an overnight stay. Jermuk is a renowned spa and resort town famous for its mineral water pools, forests, walking trails, artificial lakes, waterfalls, and fresh air.

Jermuk-Gndevank-Tatev-Shaki Waterfall-Jermuk

Wings of Tatev - Next, we’ll visit Tatev Monastery, accessible via the world’s longest ropeway. This 9th-century monastery, the first university in Armenia, was a cultural and educational center. The surrounding landscape adds to the uniqueness of this medieval architectural gem.

Shaki Waterfall - Before returning, we’ll visit Shaki Waterfall, a serene and beautiful spot. The waterfall cascades from an 18-meter-high basalt ledge, and like many Armenian sites, it has its own legend, which we’ll share during our journey.

Jermuk-Noravank-Areni Winery-Areni Cave-Khor Virap-Yerevan

Noravank Monastery - As we return to Yerevan, we’ll have several exceptional experiences. First, we’ll visit Noravank, a 13th-century monastery nestled among mountains. It was a significant site for Armenian artists.

Hin Areni Winery - Next, we’ll explore Areni Cave, where evidence shows Armenians have been making wine for over 6000 years. You’ll have a chance to play archaeologist and travel through time.

Khor Virap - Finally, we’ll visit Khor Virap, where Grigor the Illuminator was imprisoned for 13 years before Christianity became Armenia’s state religion. The monastery, with Mt Ararat in the background, symbolizes the struggle for faith. We’ll return to Yerevan in the evening.
