Highlights
  • Harichavank Monastery - The peculiarity of Haritchavank Monastery is that large stones of different shades were used for its construction. Multicolored elements create a unique pattern on the walls of the building. Harichavank known as one of the most famous monastic centers in Armenia and it was especially renowned for its school and scriptorium. The oldest part of this Armenian monastery is the Church of St. Gregory the Enlightener; it is a domed structure that is usually placed in the category of so-called “Mastara-style” churches (named after the fifth century church of St. Hovhannes in the village of Mastara, in the southern part of Shirak). The founding date of the monastery is unknown, but probably it was built no later than the 7th century, when St. Gregory was erected.

  • Gyumri - Gyumri is the second largest city in Armenia, after the capital. There are various interesting sights in the city and its surroundings. Here you can visit the art gallery, local history museum or historical and cultural reserve. There are five different churches in Gyumri and in its surroundings, the ancient Marmarashen monastery and the Orthodox chapel. One of the symbolic and recognizable sights of the city is a monument to the legendary commander Vardan Mamikonyan, who was considered the defender of Armenia and the Christian faith and was ranked among the saints. Another iconic historical monument of Gyumri is the Alexandropol Fortress. The fortress was a military defensive object and played the role of protecting Russian territories from Persian or Turkish invasions. Gyumri is considered the “capital of art” in Armenia, as well as an important cultural center. The city is also usually called the “capital of humor”, as many prominent Armenian artists and comedians come from here.

  • Black Fortress - Sev Berd or Black Fortress (Armenian: Սև բերդ; Russian: Чёрная Кре́пость, Chornaya Krepost) is an abandoned Russian imperial fortress in Gyumri, Shirak Province, Armenia. The fortress, which lies 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) from the Turkish border, was built in response to the Russo-Turkish War of 1828–1829. It is a national cultural heritage monument in Armenia.

a hear-warming trip / unforgettable Armenian hospitality - I was extremely satisfied and grateful with this tour and especially our warm-hearted guides Maria and Sona. At beginning I was very concerned because of my tour in English was cancelled and I was assigned to travel within an Armenian tour (their colleagues of customer service are not helpful or friendly), but when I was in a tour bus, the guides and other group members (Armenians) were incredebly welcoming and friendly and tried to make sure I was doing okay (Thanks a lot). Our excellent guides showed me the "Armenian hospitality" and I was very touched. They are super professional and they have a passion for their job and their country. They were like old friends and they made the best trip of my whole summer. Even if it was a tour in Armenian, our guides spoke perfectly English and they were patient to translate all the information. To be honest, even when they explained things in Armenian, their good-sense of humor, their kindness and their contagious passion as well as their inspiring smiles broke down the language barriers and it made me feel like traveling with friends. If I come back to Armenia, I'll definitely travel with them. Thanks a lot to everyone and thank you Armenia. (*However, I hope the customer service can be more helpful and organized. Don't be discouraged by them, their guides and the tours are actually perfect, completely different from their customer service)

An unforgettable day in Gyumri with Nvard - On July 13, my friends and I visited Gyumri, the excursion was special, because in addition to the introductory part there was also a performance in the theater. We had indescribable feelings. Ending a cultural city tour with a cultural event is a very good idea. Both the excursion time and free time were calculated very correctly․ We are also delighted with the choice of theater, as both the performance and the cast were excellent. Special thanks for the incomparable tour and experience. I hope that such tours will continue. My big love to Nvard, she is simply the BEST

Our tour to Gyumri - The tour organizers did a great job, right from booking to drop-off. They kept us well informed about the tour, pick-up location, and events during the trip. Our tour was on Vardavar feast. When we were at Gyumri, we got to see the tradition of splashing water on each other. We enjoyed the experience as well. Our tour guide, Hayk, was awesome and knowledgeable. He made our experience pleasant, and we enjoyed his company.

Our guide Arina was amasing young lady! - We travelled with lovely Arina and experienced Vahag to Gyumri, Harichavank, Marmashen and Black Fortress on 04 July 2024. The agenda of the trip was very rich and fun! We would like to specify the patience, kindness and approach of Arina to all the guests. Her knowledge of the Armenian history and culture was admirable. She also showcased her soulfull vocal abilities with beautiful Armenian song! It was a great experience. We would like to wish her and your team all the best. Thank you very much for amazing experience, we will definitely recommend your company to family members and friends.
