Highlights
  • Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, Busan - Haedong Yonggungsa is a breathtaking temple located on the coast of Busan, making it one of the most unique temples in South Korea. Founded in 1376, this temple stands out from others that are typically nestled in the mountains, as it is situated right by the sea, offering a completely different atmosphere. The temple’s name, which translates to “East Sea Dragon Palace Temple,” is rooted in a legend that a dragon ascended from the sea to bring divine energy to the area.

One of the temple’s most captivating features is the harmonious blend of the temple’s architecture with the stunning coastal scenery. To reach the temple, visitors must descend 108 steps, and as they do, they are greeted by a breathtaking view of the sea. Haedong Yonggungsa is especially famous as a prime spot to watch the sunrise, with many visitors arriving early in the morning to witness the spectacular scene of the sun rising over the East Sea, casting its golden light over the temple.

  • Naeri-gil - This place, known as ‘Hanok’, is the epitome of traditional Korean architecture’s beauty in Busan. Here, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the beauty of Korean traditional houses and experience a moment where time seems to stand still, away from the hustle and bustle of the modern world. In this serene setting, you can enjoy the soothing melodies of the traditional Korean instrument, the Gayageum, harmonizing with nature, providing a tranquil retreat from everyday stress. Additionally, don’t miss out on the most popular drinks here – the Black Sesame Latte and the Icheon Rice Latte, each offering a unique and delightful taste experience.
  • Samick Beach Town Apartment - The Samik Beach Apartments in Busan are a breathtaking sight during cherry blossom season, typically from mid-March to early April. Imagine vibrant, rainbow-colored apartment buildings beautifully contrasted with vivid pink cherry blossoms. The cherry trees bloom so profusely that they create a canopy of flowers, almost completely obscuring the sky.

As you stroll through the area, you’ll be immersed in a sea of delicate pink petals, with the bright, colorful buildings providing a stunning backdrop. This picturesque scene is a must-visit for tourists, offering an unforgettable experience and countless photo opportunities. Whether you’re a nature lover, photography enthusiast, or simply seeking a serene escape, the Samik Beach Apartments during cherry blossom season are sure to captivate your heart and leave you with lasting memories.

  • BIFF Square - BIFF Square in Busan is not just a movie enthusiast’s paradise, it’s a vibrant hub where the allure of cinema and the excitement of urban exploration blend seamlessly. Imagine wandering through lively streets, where every step brings you closer to the illustrious footprints of renowned movie stars and directors — a South Korean homage to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. But that’s just the beginning. BIFF Square is also a gastronomic delight, offering an array of mouthwatering street foods that capture the essence of Korean flavors. As you indulge in these culinary treats, the buzzing atmosphere of the square, illuminated by neon lights, provides an unforgettable sensory experience. It’s a place where the charm of movies meets the joy of street food, creating an experience that’s truly unique to Busan.
  • Gwangandaegyo Bridge - Gwangan Bridge, also known as the Diamond Bridge, is an iconic landmark in Busan, South Korea. The bridge spans 7.4 kilometers across the Gwangalli Beach and is particularly stunning at night when it is illuminated by thousands of colorful LED lights, creating a spectacular light show. The bridge offers panoramic views of the city and is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike, who come to take in the breathtaking views and enjoy a leisurely stroll or bike ride along the promenade. Gwangan Bridge is also the setting for various events and festivals throughout the year, including the annual Busan Fireworks Festival, which attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world. If you’re looking for a romantic spot to watch the sunset or simply want to enjoy the stunning views of Busan, Gwangan Bridge is a must-visit destination.
  • Jagalchi Market - This market originated from the fact that women who fled after the Korean War started selling fish here. Now, thanks to its size, type of sea food, and cleanliness, it has become a representative fish market in Korea. There is a famous slogan in this market. It is Oiso(come), Boiso(see), and Saiso(buy) in Busan dialect.
  • Gamcheon Culture Village, Busan - It is one of the most representative places to show the hard lives of refugees after the Korean War. Currently, it has become a representative tourist destination in Busan with colorful and beautiful houses, murals, and artworks.

At this place, you can delight in the flavors of “moolbangul tteok” (raindrop rice cake), “kkul aiseukurim” (honey ice cream), and “mashimello aiseukurim” (marshmallow ice cream). Indulge your taste buds with these delectable treats and experience a unique blend of textures and flavors that will transport you to a realm of sweet culinary bliss.

  • Songdo Yonggung Cloud Bridge - Among Busan’s four skywalks, this one is the largest and most beautiful, making it the only location where an admission fee is required. Imagine standing on a bridge, suspended 25 meters above the sparkling blue waters, with panoramic views of the bustling Busan coast. This striking pedestrian bridge connects the scenic Amnam Park to the uninhabited Dongdo Island, offering a unique vantage point to soak in the natural beauty of South Korea’s coastal city. The bridge was originally established in 1965 and later rebuilt in 2020, it spans 127 meters, providing a stable yet thrilling walkway high above the sea. Great day with an excellent guide - We were picked up on time by our guide (Roy Sante) who was actinely looking for us. We visited the Gamcheon culture villiage, Gukje Market and Jagalchi Market and Haedong Yonggung Temple. We also had an extera stop at a tea/coffee shop which was authentic and very good. There was supposed to be a stroll along the Songdo sky walk (for which you need 1$) however it is closed on the 1st and 3rd Monday each month so instead we went to Songdo beach. Overall we had a great day thanks to our guide. I would rocommend this tour rather than that offered by cruise ships, it is more personal and better value for money.

Great tour skip the restaurant!! - Lucy the guide was friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She had a lot of knowledge and easily gave us that information. Perhaps for future tours, it would be interesting for group to experience Korean street food instead of the usual restaurant faire. Sometimes restaurants can be more expensive than the tourist expects. Lots of foodies and also dietary restrictions should be considered by the guide.
