Join us for a half-day sightseeing journey to the windmills, rural landscapes and Volendam. Our first stop is at the unique Zaanse Schans park, situated just outside Amsterdam. Here, you will see the most distinctive Dutch windmills, including a paint mill, a sawmill, a spices mill, and a peanut oil mill. Following this, we will give you an insight into the creation of traditional Dutch wooden shoes, with opportunities to purchase clogs and other souvenirs. Our next destination is the Henri Willig farm, where you can learn about their cow husbandry and even witness the milking process if you’d like. You’ll also get the chance to meet their calves. Make sure to sample some of the 30 delicious varieties of Dutch cheese on offer – for free! Finally, we make our way to Volendam for a seafood lunch at one of the premier local restaurants, buy some delicious Dutch waffles or simply enjoy the charming harbor view. The total duration of this enlightening excursion is around 5 hours.
