Zaanse Schans - Discover the great Dutch Windmills and see them from inside. There are 7 windmills left at the Zaanse Schans and a few are open to visit. You can see the paint windmill (that is where Rembrandt the great Dutch artist purchased his paint), a saw mill, a spice mill and many more. There is also a possibility to take nice pictures of the windmills.

Take pleasure in a half-day excursion to the windmills, rural areas, and Volendam. Your journey will include a visit to a unique Dutch park known as the Zaanse Schans, located a short distance from Amsterdam. This park hosts some of the nation’s most unique windmills, including a paint mill, sawmill, spice mill, and peanut oil mill. Next, you’ll learn about traditional Dutch clog-making, with the option to purchase clogs/wooden shoes and other keepsakes. Your tour continues at the Henri Willig farm, where you can learn about their cow-rearing practices, observe the milking process, and even interact with the calves. Later, there’s an opportunity to sample over 30 varieties of delectable Dutch cheese at no additional cost! Finally, your tour concludes at Volendam, where you can enjoy lunch at one of the town’s top seafood restaurants, buy delicious Dutch waffles, or simply relax by the picturesque Volendam Harbor.
