During our adventure in the Waikato we will also stop for a quick coffee break at a special location.
  • Tirau - Continuing our journey to Rotorua we pass through Tirau, famously dubbed the ‘Corrugated Iron Capital of the World’ because of the many unique corrugated iron sculptures and buildings. Super recommended experiences - Mark was really nice, he explained lots of curiosities about the places we noticed during the journey from Auckland to Rotorua. Always punctual and friendly. When I finished seeing Te Puia and walked the RedTree Walk, he made a point of asking me what I wanted to see of the city while waiting for the time to pick up the other participants who had chosen a different activity to do. Although on the way back we found a road closed due to an accident, forcing us to travel almost an hour and a half longer, Mark did not lose neither his calm nor his enthusiasm, remaining professional and kind regardless of the many hours of driving and taking the opportunity to tell us curiosities about the places we saw. Te Puia disappointed me because the local guide was obviously not interested in giving any kind of explanation about Maori culture, he left us to ourselves singing Beyonce on his own. I thought the RedWood Tree Walk would have been more beautiful, but having done it during the day the lanterns were obviously turned off, a walk definitely not 40 minutes long, barely 20 minutes with photos included. However, I give 5 stars anyway because Mark's kindness and professionalism more than made up for the disappointment of the two places!

Best trip ever 🩷 - Learning a little about the Māori culture and how they respect and preserve nature was definitely a highlight of this trip. NZ is such a beautiful country and it’s so amazing how you can run in the meadows with nothing to harm you. Visiting Rotorua must be on the list of to do things!!!

Hits the best of Rotorua in a day! - This was an excellent package that allowed us to experience the “must-sees” in Rotorua - in a day! Our tour guide/driver John was punctual, relaxed yet professional, and shared interesting historical and entertaining bite-sized nuggets of info on all things NZ. We thoroughly enjoyed Te Puia (geyser was awesome), the Māori cultural show and the delicious lunch buffet. We added the Rewoods Walk in the afternoon. Highly recommend this day trip if you’re short on time - it was so worth it! Thanks John!

Great time in Te Puia and Rotorua - Great tour! Our guide, Brendon, was very kind and knowledgeable about NZ, he was timely and communicative. The stop in Te Puia was incredible and loved learning more about Māori history and culture. My husband and I then opted to spend time in the town of Rotorua while others went to the natural hot springs with the tour. It is a small town with a beautiful lake and great to walk around on a nice day. Overall we had a great time, everything was planned well, and would definitely recommend!
