Waste of time and money! - Our guide to Tigre was good, but apparently we were linked with another group and did not have the same schedule after the boat ride. We were first dropped off for 30 minutes at a shopping area, which was to have had a lot of crafts and souvenirs. There were items made of wood, but for a little else that wasn’t from China. The boat ride was pretty scenery, interesting houses, very busy river. We were supposed to have earphones with English translation of the commentary, but never received any and didn’t hear a commentary in any language, perhaps because we are standing at the rear of the boat because it was so crowded inside. Apparently, those inside could hear the commentary, but the choice was to hear the commentary or be able to see . The lunch, which was included with the tour was the worst meal we’ve had in Argentina. Absolutely no flavor to the food, soggy french fries, and extremely poor service. Coming back to Buenos Aires., we were to have visited a museum, which didn’t happen. All in all, I would say, the trip was a waste of our money and time!

Disappointing in every aspect! - I am only giving this a one star because zero stars is not an option. We were picked up at our hotel by our guide who took us to the boat dock and then told us he was reassigned to another tour so would not be staying with us. Instead a guide with another tour would meet us at the boat dock when we arrived in Tigre. Once at the boat dock, we waited and waited and no guide. Finally, we called the tour operator who located her and sent her over. She was very sweet but was being asked to work two tour groups. She took us to the fruit market and we got 36 minutes there and then more waiting for the next group. Then she quickly dropped us at lunch and left us to go back to the other group. We sat at a restaurant on a busy street not the riverfront as promised. We were served pork instead of the beef and I had to go inside and get the coffee. The food was terrible. We sat at the restaurant for 2 and a half hours and finally I contacted the tour company about how we were to get back to our hotel. They sent a subcompact cab with seatbelts that did not have working shoulder belts and we were 4 of us crammed in the cab with three of us squished in the back seat for the long ride back. A miserable waste of a beautiful day in Buenos Aires that I can’t get back.
