Good ride. … - It was a good trip - we saw eagles, water fowl and ponies - three or four different groups of ponies with their foals! The captain was very helpful and had some good stories to tell.

A great experience! - A wonderful experience. The captain was so nice and shared a lot of information with us about the area and wildlife. We saw a bunch of ponies! Also, we were literally the only boat out on the water.

Great way to see the ponies! - We had a great time on the Assateague Explorer. Shane knew the best spot to view the ponies and get close enough without disturbing them. Beautiful views of the bay and the sunset.

Sunset cruise - Great tour with laid-back guide and guests. We saw many ponies, bald eagles nest, and lots of other birds. Definitely worth it! Would have liked a bit more history of islands.

Worth the price! - The captain was knowledgeable and interesting. We saw lots of dolphins, birds, ponies (tho very far away) and some beautiful views. We were interested in his explanation of the trawler we saw returning research horseshoe crabs to the water. Be advised though, the boat does not look like the one in the Trip Advisor picture!

Provided boat not as advertised - The boat provided was not a boat with a cabin of sorts as in descriptive writeup. With wind and low temp not the place to be and made it hard to heard pilot/speaker

Better options out there - Boat was packed. The daisey boat tour would have been better. Other boat went back to the horses we were like 7 football fields away.

A great time overall, but difficult to see - We are so glad we went and the captain was very friendly and knowledgeable. However, where we sat (closest to captain's chair) meant we, as short people, had much difficulty in seeing anything. Also we were asked not to stand while the boat was moving, yet two photographers stood the entire time, limiting our vision, yet again. So, definitely take a boat trip while in this area! But be choosy on your seat!
