A Whiskered Welcome

As a family travel writer, I’m always on the lookout for unique experiences that can bring joy and wonder to both kids and adults alike. When I heard about the Fennec Fox & Friends Encounter at the North Georgia Zoo, I knew it was a must-visit for our family. The bug-eyed paca and prickly porcupine added to the excitement, each offering a unique glimpse into the animal kingdom. The kids were particularly fascinated by the porcupine’s quills, and the staff was more than happy to answer their endless questions.

After the encounter, we took a leisurely stroll through the rest of the zoo. It was a delightful way to wind down after the excitement of meeting the animals up close.
