A Day of Furry Friends and Family Fun

As a family travel writer, I’m always on the lookout for activities that promise both fun and learning for the whole family. So, when I heard about the North Georgia Zoo in Cleveland, I knew it was a must-visit. The idea of petting llamas, alpacas, goats, and more was too enticing to pass up. Plus, the promise of interactive learning and keeper talks about the animals’ habits had me intrigued.

Upon arrival, the kids were immediately drawn to the petting zoo area. The sight of fluffy llamas and curious alpacas was enough to send them into fits of giggles. A Parakeet Paradise

As if the petting zoo wasn’t enough, the free-flight parakeet aviary was a delightful surprise. Walking into a space filled with colorful parakeets flying freely was like stepping into a tropical paradise. The kids were thrilled to have these vibrant birds fluttering around them, and they even got to feed them with special birdseed sticks.
