A pleasant and enjoyable day of exploration. - An enjoyable and interesting day trip some good photograph locations. Our guide and driver was helpful friendly and knowledgeable throughout and recommended several options for our lunch. A relaxing and pleasant day of sight seeing, would use this company again.

Three trips - We went on the go west, south west and nuns valley tours. Excellent minibus guides giving fascinating information about Madeira. Office staff excellent and attentive. Good value and comfortable minibuses. AAA+++

Off the beaten path - I took the Madeira Happy Tours excursion to the Southwest part of Madeira, which most tourists do not visit. There were only 3 of us on the tour so we were able to go where large groups could not. We walked through a banana plantation in Madalena do Mar. Madeiran bananas are smaller than South American ones, but are sweeter. You can get them only in Portugal. I got into a staring contest with an emu at the Pedagogical Farm in Prazeres. At the southwest tip of Madeira is the Ponta do Pargo lighthouse, built in 1922. We stopped for lunch at Restaurante O Farolim (The Lighthouse) in Ponta do Pargo (cost not included in the tour). The Scabbardfish Fillet Madeiran Style was so tasty with the banana on top! Our last stop was the beach at Calheta. We had a nice stroll along the seashore and could watch the people enjoy the protected beach.

Great day out. - Happy Tours is my Go To excursion provider in Madeira. This time I was a little disappointed that, being the week before Christmas, there were far fewer tours available and, to be honest, the salesman in their shop wasn't particularly helpful but I managed to book the south west tour which I'd done before but a while ago. This one did, I think a slightly different and better route. The guide, Tino, was exceptionally good - very knowledgeable, obviously devoted to his island and its history, culture and natural beauty. The stops were well-timed and Tino was informative and interesting at each one. We were lucky with the weather and it was another excellent day out with Happy Tours.

First visit to Madeira - We have just returned from 2 weeks in Madeira and had booked our tours in advance on the Happy Tours website. We did South, North, East and West tours, Nuns Valley tour, Vale Paraiso Levada walk and Serra Vale Agua Levada walk. This review covers them all. We really enjoyed all the tours we went on, very informative and a great way to see the island on our first visit. For 3 of our tours (South, North and East) our driver and guide was Luis Mateus and he was fantastic. You can tell he loves his job and he is very passionate about the island. He was such good company and made our holiday so enjoyable. He is a credit to the company. We had no problems, we were picked up on time outside our hotel and felt we definitely got our money's worth

The Magnificent South of Madeira - This is a must on your bucket list for Madeira! Rugged and beautiful scenery… wonderful change of pace from Funchal! Our driver Hugo was very friendly & knowledgeable. I was exhausted at the end of the day, I forgot my iPhone in the bus. I went to the office… they called Hugo, he brought the phone back to the office within the hour 😊 NOTE: Madeira Happy Tours does not offer Time Share promotions. I discovered other companies do… BE AWARE!

Sights were beautiful Driver Needed to be informed on how the fires started - Great tour good amount of sites to see for this day trip. When we got to the site on the Island that had the fires the driver told us that it was started by heat. The fire was started by arson and I asked him about it. Tell people the truth there are bad people everywhere. Heat doesn't start a fire and it sounded ridiculous.
