Fantastic Combo Tour - What a wonderful and beautiful tour. The scenery was so breathtaking. Especially, seeing all the waterfalls from the melting snow. However, seeing the mushing camp and interacting with the dogs was the best part. We didn't want to leave. They were extremely loving and so darn cute. The Suspension Bridge was so cool. Here I thought I would freak out, cuz I'm extremely scared of heights. And yet I crossed the bridge multiple times with no fear of any kind. If I can cross this bridge, anyone can and I highly recommend that you do. Andrew was our tour guide and he was phenomenal. He explained everything in detail and didn't push us in anyway. He let us take our time at the stops and even offered some awesome suggestions on other things to see and visit. Skagway Tours is a top notch company and they definitely care about their customers. Oh, I forgot to add that Andrew pulled over to let us take some pictures of a bear that was walking along the side of the road. This combo tour is definitely a must, and make sure you ask for, Andrew !!!!

Great Yukon Tour - This was a great way to experience the Yukon. The views were spectacular. We learned all about the gold rush and saw a bear along the way. Jim was very professional and knowledgeable. The puppies at the dog sled camp were adorable and we enjoyed feeding them treats as well as learning about their training for sled racing. The Yukon suspension bridge provided spectacular views above the river. I highly recommend this tour as it fit a lot of experiences in several hours and was very informative.

Incredible Views, Great tour guide! - After alot of research we decided to do this tour instead of the Train. I think we made the right choice! This tour was amazing. Stopped at several places and took pictures. The Suspension Bridge was amazing and views incredible. Our guide was Chelsea and she was fantasic and we learned so much about Skagway history and living there. Saw a bear walking down the side of the road. The puppies were cute, there were about 6-8 months old so not little puppies. The puppies were a fun stop but we could have probably done without that part. We did get to see the dogs pulling a 4 wheeler which was cool but not like pulling a sled, but it was June LOL. The bus was comfortable. Pick up right off the cruise ship. We opted to get dropped off in town and tried a flight of beer and then Red Onion Saloon for Duck Fart Shots before going back to the ship. It was a good day. Wish we had time for the tour at Red Onion Saloon - maybe another time!

Fantastic views! - We had a great time and the driver was super knowledgeable! He stopped at some beautiful places and narrated the whole time. He gave us enough time at each place to enjoy ourselves. Only wish the puppies were younger but hard to control that :-)

Yukon bridge great- rest meh - The bridge and photo stops were great but the puppies camp was a disappointment. The people there did not engage…at all. Even if one of the workers had talked about the dogs, given a few names of dogs or talked about the race it would have made it so much better. Only our bus driver told us about the camp- and when we arrived there no one spoke to us. We walked out and petted a few dogs. The worker dogs were in a separate area. One lady finally said “there’s a slide show in there” and pointed to one of the houses- and the slide show and trophies were really neat- would have loved to talk to someone about what it’s like, or anything about the camp. We walked around about 10 minutes, then back to bus. The Yukon bridge was great, and the information on bus was great. It should be labeled Yukon bridge and sightseeing, and just leave out the mushers camp- others who did different camps had much better experiences on our cruise. Just fyi.

Tour switched at last minute to inferior one - At the last minute the tour operator advised there were only 2 of us and they were offering us an upgraded tour. She had communicated with me over a time change before the tour change also. Since this was last minute I really didn’t have time to research and accepted although I did note the new tour was considerably cheaper. They said it was better. I had to press them a couple times for the refund difference. It was not better - By far. We went to a petting zoo, drove long distances and had a bbq lunch with hundreds of other people. Instead of going to a mushers camp we saw dogs in the petting zoo from the humane society. We never got to see the adult dogs but 2 pups and one was a black lab. The office staff was downright rude to me when I was unhappy about the switch. Our bus driver told us he did not like bears and we were actually lucky to speed by a few but he always had an excuse why he could not stop or slow down. We were in a converted school bus and because of the confusion we had the two back seats (we are both over 70) and it was like riding a galloping horse for 5+ hours. We came inches off our seats several times because the back end was not above the wheels but suspended in the back and went back to the ship with back aches. We stopped at the Yukon sign and our driver took everyones photo as we stood in line but when it was our turn, he hustled everyone back to the bus. When we expressed our displeasure about this, he did make a point of stopping back at the sign in the way back “to take the photo of the couple missed” - it was a little embarrassing esp since people were in a hurry to get back to another ship which was leaving. There were 14 of us. I was very much looking forward to the original tour.
