Beautiful, unforgettable experience! - Amazing hike - it was our 18- and 20-year-olds’ favorite part of our trip to Greece! Katarina was an awesome, informative guide and took us to the most beautiful views. It is a bit strenuous - lots of uphill, but worth every step!

Great Experience - This hiking tour was a fantastic experience! Highly recommend to others visiting the area! Experience: Seeing the monasteries on a hiking tour was a unique experience. You are treated to views that you can't see from a standard bus/driving tour. The hike was around 5-6km with some short sections of trail that were rocky or a little steep, but overall not too difficult (we had good weather but I imagine it might get a bit slippery when wet). From the initial description we expected to actually hike into some caves, but this was a bit misleading - you only get to observe the caves on the cliffside as you walk through the forest. We ended the tour at one of the monasteries, which we then passed to reach a scenic spot for sunset views over the rocks and mountains. Guide: Nikos was our great guide - he was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was able to teach us a lot about the history of Meteora as we went, pointing out key landmarks as we passed them on our hike. He was helpful in leading us along the trail and flagging any trickier sections. He also knew all the best spots for us to get photos along the way (and doubles up as a decent photographer). The tour company offered pickup from our hotel, which was useful. Overall, a great experience. If you enjoy hiking or travelling in a more active/adventurous way I would definitely recommend this over a bus tour!

Stunning views, beautiful hike and a well-informed, charming guide. - This tour exceeded our expectations with a knowledgeable local guide, beautiful trails through the mountains, and stunning scenery. It was a fabulous way to see Meteora, and extra special to view the sunset from the top of a rockface. We thoroughly recommend this tour, but be warned that it's not an easy hike, with some steep paths, and a decent amount of uphill terrain.

Great tour - George was wonderful guide and this was the best way to really get “lay of the land” to explore by ourselves the next day. Great history and information.

Challenging but 100% worth it! - Our guide was amazing, he was very knowledgeable about the caves, monasteries, and history of Meteora. He was also checking on all of the hikers to make sure they were doing ok and if we needed to take breaks. This hike was not a walk in the park, there are some steep rocky areas you have to traverse, loose gravel and dirt, a lot of areas of steep uphill trails, but it is worth the muscle fatigue and huffing and puffing! The views are amazing and the history and knowledge that is provided makes it the perfect activity to do other than going to the Monasteries. Make sure to bring water and good walking/hiking shoes.

Great hike in Meteora. - Harry was a great guide. He was very personable and shared interesting information that we used the next day when we went to the monastaries. His tour gave us a different way to experience Meteora. The hike was beautiful.

Recommended!!! Better than bus tours! - Nickolas was an excelent guide. We were able to see a most of the atrractions from unusual prospectives. Highly recomended!!!

INCREDIBLE!! - This is the best thing we did in Meteora!! So much better than just visiting the monasteries!! If you like to hike: this tour is for you!!! The guide was extremely knowledgeable about the both the geological origins of the area and the history of the monasteries. He helped us determine which monasteries to visit the next day and even where to eat dinner. He went over and above to assure that our entire stay was enjoyable. Not just the 4 hours he spent with us on the tour.

A memory I’ll cherish forever - Despite my hotel being not on the map, Nicolas picked me up bright and cheery! I ended up being the only one on the tour which made it super surreal! We hiked at a perfect pace, passing in between the towering rocks while stopping for the most incredible views. Nicolas was the best tour guide. Made sure I was doing alright, taking care of my safety while also pushing the boundaries with crazy cliff edge experiences. Plus he was very knowledgeable and was open to any conversation or any questions. Truly a once in a lifetime experience. If you enjoy nature and the beauty of Greece without the hustle bustle, you will LOVE THIS.
