Highlights
  • Mirveti Waterfall - Situated 20 kilometers from Batumi, Mirveti Waterfall is among Georgia’s most breathtaking waterfalls. Cascading from a height of 20 meters from the cliffs near Mirveti Village, the waterfall is even more captivating due to the scenic trail leading to it. As you walk through a sunlit forest of Colchic boxwoods, you’ll experience a unique mix of sea and mountain air, a hallmark of Ajara. In addition to the waterfall, Mirveti features a 13th-century arched bridge and pleasant picnic spots. You might also want to sample the eco-friendly products and traditional Ajarian dishes prepared by locals in the nearby cafes and restaurants. Additionally, you can enjoy a boat tour on the river Chorokhi.
  • Makhuntseti Waterfall - Makhuntseti Waterfall is one of Georgia’s most renowned waterfalls, located in the village of Makhuntseti in Adjara. This 50-meter-high waterfall flows into a small tributary, creating a sizable whirlpool. The Makhuntseti waterfall is accessible year-round. Visitors can also purchase natural products from locals, such as honey and Churchkhela. It takes just an hour to reach the waterfall from Batumi.
  • Adjarian Wine House - The Adjarian Wine House offers 28 varieties of alcoholic beverages, including white, rosé, and red wines produced in two factories. Additionally, they produce 6 types of vodka, two types of cognac (classic and XO), and a sparkling wine made traditionally since 2010. Wine varieties available for tasting include Chkhaveri, Tsolikauri, Rkatsiteli, and Tsolikauri blend.

Additional services/activities: Guided tours of the Wine House (including visits to the vineyards, wine factory, old winemakers, cellar, and enotheque adorned with ethnographic elements). Masterclasses (Qvevri opening ritual; Wine tasting; Making Khinkhali; Churchkhela preparation; Bread baking; Ajarian cheese making; Grape stomping and Chacha distillation; Georgian cigar wrapping).

  • Gonio Fortress - Gonio Fortress held significant strategic importance, guarding the entrances to the Chorokhi and Adjaristskali valleys and linking the inner regions of southwestern Georgia with the Black Sea coast. Due to its strategic location, Gonio Fortress became a key stronghold for the Roman Empire, and later for the Byzantine and Ottoman empires. Since 2010, the Gonio Fortress has been a museum-reserve, showcasing exhibits from the early 19th century to the 1980s.
