Beautiful hike! - Humantay is a gorgeous hike. A difficult 2 mile incline, but you can take stops along the way and enjoy the vistas of some of the highest mountains in the Andes. Judhit was great at guiding us and taking some great photos. This excursions also gives you breakfast and lunch! An amazing trip!

A MUST DO!! - I was worried because of the distance and the altitude but the guide was super helpful with the coca leaves and teaching breathing techniques. Do not forget sunscreen and a hat!! The view up there… is like paradise, makes everything worth it!!

Beautiful - Awesome lake, very beautiful color! Renting a horse is possible and that makes it an easy hike. Heber forever was a great guide and also helped me and took lots of nice pictures, which is helpful for me as a solo traveler!

Judith made a difficult hike so much easier - The tour was exceptionally well organized. Judith was an absolute sweetheart. She helped all of us on the way up and down. She took pictures for all of us. Her smile and infectious enthusiasm didn't falter for a single second. The breakfast and lunch were amazing too. Nothing but praises for Judith and her team.

Breathtaking View - This was absolutely beautiful. It is a work out for sure. But don't worry, if it gets too hard you can catch a horse about half way up. The view is breathtaking and so worth it. Your guide will give you a walking stick, take it as it is slippery in spots and it really is helpful. Our guide was fantastic and gave us so much information about the lake and Peru.

HERBERT FOREVER - Our tour to Humantay Lake provided by Chullos Travel Peru was fantastic! Our tour guide Herbert (Herbert Forever) was amazing. He had great energy and was constantly checking on different members of the group to make sure they were handling the hike and altitude. The views of the lake were amazing. The breakfast and lunch provide had plenty of options for all diets and the restaurants location had great valley views. I highly recommend this company and Herbert as a tour guide.

I wouldn't recommend this company. No English guide and big issues with pick up. - The Lake Humantay is absolutely beautiful, and our guide was very knowledgable and kind. However, we didn't have a good general impression of the company providing the tour. The day before the activity, we were told that we were going to be picked up from our accommodation at 4:15am, even though when we booked it it said 4:30am, which is already early. On the day, at 3:50am, we received a text from a person saying that they were our guide for the day and that they would pick us up at 4:15am and we should be ready. Therefore, at 4:15am, we were in front of our accommodation waiting for them, even though it was 2 degrees outside. To our surprise, no one turned up. At 4:30am I contacted the person to ask where they were and they told us that they were no longer our guide and someone else would pick us up. They didn't answer any following texts or phone calls from us. We then contacted the person that we spoke with initially, who we assume is the owner, who said that they would find out what was happening. At 5am we contacted them again and asked if the tour had been cancelled or if anyone was genuinely going to pick us up, to which he replied that it was going ahead and we should stay put. Easy to say, when it's not you standing on 2 degrees in the cold for 50minutes. After a long wait in the cold, we were finally picked up at 5:05am, almost an hour after we were supposed to be, by a car who said that they would take us to our van. The van was packed and we got bad seats because we were the last ones there. The seats were so uncomfortable that we needed to sit sideways, because there was no legroom at all. To our surprise as well, and to others who were in the tour, the guide didn't speak English, only Spanish, even though when we booked the tour it said that the tour would be in English and Spanish. This meant that most of the time we had no idea of what was going on, where were we going, the history of the place, or how long we would have in each place. The other people in the tour needed to translate things for us, which is extremely disappointing, since we missed most of the explanations. Finally, the driver also drove the van extremely fast on the way there, and also back, and because the roads are very bumpy we were being tossed around the entire time. Unfortunately, we didn't have a good experience with this tour and would not recommend this company to others, even though the guide was very kind and the place was beautiful. We would suggest doing this tour with another company, as this one seems to have a lot of communication issues with the guests.
