Interesting tour - We had a great guide who was able to tell us a lot about the animals and the cloud forest. He also made a lot of effort to ensure that we were able to observe lots of animals and we were lucky enough to see some rare animals. However, everyone should be aware that the animals there are not fed, so you are either lucky or you are not.

Well worth getting a guide. - Great guide. We would have never seen the wildlife without our guide. Highly recommend. And you have plenty of time to also enjoy more of the park on your own.

Wonderful private tour! - Alex was a fantastic guide. He was very knowledgeable and found all of the animals we could have wished for. We learned about plants and also the change affecting the cloud forest. We watched spider monkeys playing, and Alex found us a male and female Quetzal. We saw a toucanet, a glass winged butterfly and an awesome moss stick bug amongst many other things. Highly recommend a private tour with Alex!

Sighting of animals that are difficult to see - An incredible experience, what I enjoyed most in all of Costa Rica. Mauricio knows a lot and is charming. We saw a quetzal and many more beautiful animals. With a super interesting explanation. 😍

Amazing tour - The tour was amazing, it allows you to experience the forest in a deeper way. The guides hear and recognize every animal there and show you exactly where they are.

A must do when in Monteverde - Amazing tour! We learned so much about the flora and fauna. Without our guide we would have spotted not even half of what we saw.

Great to enjoy beautiful Monte Verde nature - Mauricio was an amazing guide to be able to enjoy beautiful Monte Verde Reserva. We were unable to get day pass for the morning, but the 1:30PM visit was just great. Less crowdy and we saw a lot of animals (wild pig, turkey, howler monkey, spider monkey) and many birds (including a Quetzal!). Would definitely recommend Three Brothers Tours!

Was this a nature walk or a political speech walk? - Our guide constantly mixed political commentary with his knowledge of the animals and the forest. If I could mute his politics, the tour would be a four star instead of one. He is clearly a radical leftist. Comments like, "humans are the only species in the world that doesn't know how to share, unlike the trees of in the cloud forest has developed a system of sharing nutrients through their roots." or "Climate change this, climate change that..." It seems that he blames all of Costa Rica's woes on climate change, wealthy Nations, and capitalists.

They ditched up and were not helpful - I dont know if terrible is accurate. We were unable to make the tour. Our tour time was 730 am. We were at the parking lot waiting to for shuttle bus before 7 am. The bus was full the first trip. We got on the 2nd bus. The round trip is about 20 minutes per shuttle. We arrived at the gates just after 730. We asked for our tour operator and looked for them. No contact was made on our or their part, which is an error on our end. Considering all tours have been late because of "costa Rican time", which again should not have been assumed on our part. The part thelat upsets me is that we made and effort to contact at 735, 745 looking for our operator and this was obviously not reciprocating to guests who are not privy to the system. And also was not relayed that once in parking lot it can be up to 1 hour before you have tickets and ready to enter.
