On a summer’s day in 79 A.D, the entire town and around 20000 of its inhabitants were buried under tons of ash and pumice because of a violent explosion of Mt Vesuvius. A shower of very fine ash was deposited everywhere to a depth of more than six meters, enveloping everything and adhering to the forms of the bodies and of their clothes. Almost 2.000 years later, you have the opportunity to discover the everyday life of the Imperial Age and imagine the panic of the people before the city was so disastrously buried. In a two hours walking tour, your guide will show you fascinating places such as The Forum, Thermal Baths, Lupanare and so on. This is a trip not to be missed for any visitor to this region of Italy.

Not at all boring - Maria was excelkent very informative and had a great sense of humor. Enjoyed her tour very much. We think the only way to see Pompeii is with a guide as you would have no idea what you were looking at other wise

Would definitely recommend - Great tour, I would recommend this to others. Pompeii is a very large area so having a guide was extremely helpful. She gave everyone time to take turns for pictures and look at all the artifacts.

Great tour for cruisers and tourists. - Our guide was very knowledgeable and set a good pace for a group that had kids and seniors. The transportation was comfortable and prompt. Cruisers, we had a pick up at the terminal exit. All in all, a great choice to see Pompeii.

Well worth it! - Pickup from Salerno was accurate and on-time. The tour guide was excellent and provided great explanations of the different features of Pompeii. The tour was extensive and very interesting. We had to wait an extra 30 minutes for our ride back to Salerno after the tour and the company provided us with a free lunch for our patience which was very nice considering the wait time was short. All-in-all it was a fantastic experience and we would recommend it to anyone visiting Salerno.

When transportation is key - A very good tour overall. It is worth noting that this tour is mainly charging for transportation. The guided tour provided can be purchased at the location for a cheaper price, but the convince of having everything pre-arranged was a major plus given our timeline and travel constraints. A great experience.

Good experience, professional guides, expect crowds! - Pompeii is an unforgettable experience. We had a good tour guide who was knowledgeable. She got ahead of us a few times but we found her. She shared interesting details about the ruins.
The driver to & from Pompeii was excellent & on time.

Adequate tour it may be better self guided - Travel from starting point and pick up very efficient. The group trip advertised as 25 was over 30. With the large crowds in Pompeii the tour guide should have waited until all members were on view of specific site before speaking. Most of the time she was at least one site ahead of 1/2 the group.
