Highlights
  • Dique Potrerillos Mendoza - Mountains, fresh air, and a turquoise water mirror that invites you to relish the tranquility and beauty of Mendoza’s scenery.
  • Uspallata - The town of Uspallata is an ideal stopover on the way to Las Cuevas, Puente del Inca, or Aconcagua.

Uspallata is a historic town linked to the Crossing of the Andes during the fight for independence. It was here that the troops of General Don José de San Martín’s Army of the Andes gathered and, under the command of Juan Gregorio de las Heras, marched through one of the mountain passes towards Chile in 1817.

  • Centro de Ski Los Penitentes - The Los Penitentes Ski Center and Mountain Park is a Mendoza classic, situated just 180 km from the city of Mendoza and 15 km from Chile. We only stop in winter if there is snow.
  • Puente del Inca - Nestled in the heart of the Andes Mountains at 2,720 meters above sea level, Puente del Inca is renowned for its natural bridge, a unique geological marvel declared a Natural Monument.

The bridge was formed by mineral waters. The river carved its path through sediments at the bottom of a trough, later cemented by thermal waters. These waters give the area its distinctive orange, yellow, and ocher hues, and any object placed under them becomes “petrified” due to mineral salt impregnation. The right bank hosts famous hot springs with five sources, each with different temperatures and components. The unique hills and the Las Cuevas River flowing dozens of meters below the bridge complete the picturesque scene.

  • Parque Provincial Aconcagua - Aconcagua Provincial Park is a protected area in the Argentine Andes, bordering Chile. It features Mount Aconcagua, whose snow-capped summit is one of the highest in South America. At the park’s entrance, you can follow a path to the Los Horcones lagoon and the Quebrada del Durazno. Its altitude makes it home to enormous Andean condors.
  • Las Cuevas - Las Cuevas is a town in the Las Heras department, Mendoza province, Argentina. It is located in the Andes mountain range, near the international border. In 2018, the districts of Las Cuevas, Penitentes, and Uspallata were merged into one, now called “Uspallata and Alta Montaña.”
  • Cristo Redentor De Los Andes - Accessible only in summer.
  • Mendoza - This will be the trip to the final attraction (Aconcagua Park).
  • Mendoza - This will be the time to return to your accommodation.
