Colosseum With Priority Entry and Panoramic Glass Elevator to the Summit of Rome. Tickets only (no guide) - I bought tickets for the Colosseum With Priority Entry and Panoramic Glass Elevator to the Summit of Rome. We met the representative from Italia Tours near the colosseum and got our tickets. He walked us over to the priority entry line and answered any questions that we had, then he left us the rest of the time on own. It would have been nice to have a guided tour thru colosseum, but going at our own pace was good too. Just a reminder to down load the colosseum app before entering. Wifi was not the best in the colosseum though. Disappointed in Palintine that there were not better maps and information on what we were seeing. It was still amazing and so was the forum. Our favorite was the panoramic glass elevator and the amazing views. It was an amazing day seeing everything!

The Vatican - When I first arrived in Rome I had my heart set on seeing the Coliseum. However, by the end of the trip it was the Vatican that really left an impression on me. Our specific tour focused primarily on the artwork. The art itself was astonishing, and it almost psychedelic in the way it impressed itself upon me during my visit. Our tour guide, Luigi, was excellent. He gave us a lot of context regarding the symbolic and aesthetic elements used in each piece, as well as how these things were framed by the architecture itself. By the end of the tour you feel almost overwhelmed by your surroundings. St.Peter's Basilica was especially impressive. As a Christian I found it both inspiring and humbling. The only thing I can really complain about is that I wish the floors were less troublesome to walk on for the entire length of the tour.

Waste of money - This “tour” was an overpriced joke. I paid $138 for something that should have been $36. While it was true that we “skipped the line” to purchase our tickets, the “guide” walked us as a “tour group” entrance to the colosseum and dumped us off and Mentioned our ticket allowed us to go to the Roman forum across the way once we were done at the colosseum. We fought our way through the crowds of the colosseum and then when it was time to check out the Roman forum there was no skipping any line. Yes we had our tickets but the line for ticket holders was wrapped down the road and we were told that we had to wait with everyone else. So we didn’t go because it looked to be over an hour wait. The man scanning our tickets at the colosseum actually laughed at me when he asked how much I paid for this. What a waste. Considering cancelling my other Viator booked tours for this trip bc this was such a bummer. I feel like I got duped.
