Great shorter duration walking tour of city sites - Angela was awesome! Great tour with so many little tidbits on city history through the ages. She also made great recs on where to go, what to see (and when to go), and where to find the best “off the beaten path” food and adult bev options in the city. What an awesome way to spend a couple hours in the city. Highly recommend!

Fun afternoon in Rome - Absolutely loved our tour with Daniel. This small-group tour ended up being just our family. He was fun, funny, and offered lots of interesting historical stories; we learned a lot. Gladly accommodated some requests from us along the way, too. Highly recommend if you want to see these main sights and have a lovely time doing it.

Great tour, great guide! - It was our first tour in Rome, and we were lucky, it was just my sister and I. Our guide, Dimitri, was excellent, very knowledgeable and showed us a few hidden gems along the way. Would definitely recommend!

Great Overview of Rome - Not only did we see many of the key highlights of Rome, but also got recommendations for other things to do on our own. We also got great recommendations regarding food! The gelato we had during the tour was amazing - best we had on our trip! I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great introduction to the city of Rome.

Fantastic - highly recommend! - This walking tour was wonderful and our guide, Angela, was amazing. I recommend those who are either new to Rome or not that familiar with Rome's history to take this tour. We (a family of four with two teenage boys) learned so much from Angela in just a couple of hours. Plus, the gelato was delicious! Angela was so great, we took her up on an offer for another tour of the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill - also a big hit. Her tours were the best we had on our 7 day trip to Rome.

Highly recommended tour in small group to get the details missed in larger tours - Fantastic small group tour of Rome city highlights by Angela, provided great insight and an amazing knowledge of the history of Rome. Very engaging, incorporating some humour and fun facts. Would highly recommend this small group tour option for a more personal exploration of this amazing city.

Intimate-sized and wonderfully comprehensive walking tour - I do several tours whenever I travel, including other Rome walking tours and this was easily one of the absolute best. Our tour guide Angela explained that they do small size tours for an intimate experience and our group of 6 just so happened to get an unexpected private tour. The number of stops we made far exceeded what most other walking tours included and for each one, she had at least one interesting story to share. Even when we asked her a question, she would pull out a fascinating detailed answer that filled in so much more. She did her studies in the classics and her level of knowledge really shined. The stop also included some yummy gelato for each of us which was a nice way to cap the last bit of the tour. And she went clearly above and beyond, our tour lasting closer to 3 hours than the 2 hours and 15 minutes listed (although I'm sure if we were in more of a rush she would have accommodated). Some of the extra time came from allowing some extended breaks so the kids could use the bathroom. All in all, I would give this tour the highest recommendation.

Now we know - We had a wonderful time. It was great to have so much of the city put into context. The history, details, and stories were well delivered.

A fascinating & fun tour of Rome - We originally booked a tour with another group and were scrambling around to find them only to discover later that the tour got canceled. In our attempt to find where the tour had gone, we metJames and two other people in his small group tour. He helped us try to find our group, but then when that proved to be futile, he graciously made arrangements to add us to his tour. He checked with the others to make sure they were cool us joining them and they happily welcomed us to the group. I’m so happy that the other tour canceled because James was a SPECTACULAR guide! His knowledge of Roman history was extensive. Every story he told us was fascinating; really bringing ancient history to life. He spoke about the historic figures like Caesar, Bernini, Raphael and Michelangelo like they were actual people and not just occupants of dusty old text books. James was filled with information that didn’t feel like it was straight from a script. He answered our questions knowledgeably and was never stumped by our queries. The spots we went to were typical tourist places, but James went above and beyond the typical tour guide rhetoric. He gave us unique stories and little things to focus on; things that we might’ve missed otherwise. There was a sort of art history bent to the tour, which we loved. The easy-going, conversational aspect of the tour made it feel personalized and special. We were able to learn so much about Roman history—and there’s a LOT of history—in such a short amount of time. The hours flew by too quickly and we were sad for it to end. We HIGHLY recommend this tour. It was such a happy accident that we ended up on James’ tour and we’re thrilled that it worked out the way that it did. What a great way for us to kick off our first vacation day and our very first time in Rome. Grazie!
